My Top 24 songs from the 6/5/82 countdown (titles only, absolute faves in bold):Top 10: Ebony & Ivory, Don't Talk To Strangers, 867-5309/Jenny, The Other Woman, Don't You Want Me, Always On My Mind, Heat Of The Moment, '65 Love Affair, Rosanna#11-20: Crimson & Clover, Empty Garden (Hey Hey Johnny)*, Man On Your Mind, Did It In A Minute, Let It Whip, Hurts So Good #21-30: Fantasy, Caught Up In You, When It's Over, Tainted Love #31-40: Play The Game Tonight, Only The Lonely Break It Up, Forget Me Nots, Personally * With "Rocketman" now out in theaters, I'll pick Elton John as my Shooda Dun Betr Pick this week. Heartfelt lyrics, wonderfully sung by Elton and cool harmonies make this an early '80s ballad that should have charted higher: My Top 29 songs from the 6/12/76 countdown:[/i] Top 10: Silly Love Songs, Get Up & Boogie, Love Hangover, Shannon, Sara Smile, Shop Around, More More More, Fool To Cry*#11-20: Rhiannon, Welcome Back, I'll Be Good To You, Boogie Fever, Love Is Alive, Takin' It To The Streets, I Want You, Never Gonna Fall In Love Again#21-30: Kiss & Say Goodbye, Fooled Around & Fell In Love, Take The Money & Run, Moonlight Feels Right+, Afternoon Delight, The Boys Are Back In Town, Right Back Where We Started From, Tryin' To Get The Feeling Again, Get Closer #31-40: You're My Best Friend, Show Me The Way, Dance Wit Me, I'm Easy * The Rolling Stones get my Why Doesn't This Top 10 Hit Get Any Recurrent Airplay Pick this week. Call me nuts but I really like Mick Jagger's falsetto voice. This is also in a great key. If "Angie" gets airplay these days, I can't understand why "Fool To Cry" doesn't: + There's an obvious "No. Just no" song on this week's '82 countdown. No like from me if you pick the song at #3... unless you also list the #25 song from the '76 show which might be on other listeners' "No. Just No" list but it's on my favorite list... then you get a like from me .

Kajagoogoo - Too Shy An Austrian extra: Rainhard FendrichRainhard Fendrich is a good friend of Harold Faltermeyer and one of the most popular Austrian musicians. And although he only sings his songs in German, he made an exception in 1988. Rainhard wrote the song "Macho Macho" (the intro reminds of ... ) - as he said - with simple rhyming within a few minutes as a counter-reaction to an article in a women´s magazine in which a turning away from softie to macho was demanded. Rainhard wanted to make an ironic statement with the song, which he rather saw as silliness. The song is sung completely in Viennese dialect. The B-side of the single included the song sung in Spanish. Still today the number (beside his classic "I Am From Austria"), mostly played unplugged by Rainhard, is one of the highlights of his concerts and is sung along by his fans lyrically secure.
Here is Rainhard Fendrich with his Spanish version of "Macho Macho":

So, it came to the foundation of Back Off in 1996. And in 1997 this boy band achieved a chart success with "Count On Me":
