Although I probably could have searched on Google or Yahoo for this answer, I decided to ask here as I was already signed in.
I was wondering about an old Song that I have heard on occasions. I think that it was released in the 1960s. Some of the lyrics include,"...many a poor boy (?), and, God, I know, I'm one".
Who sings this Song, and what is the Title?

Interesting thing about this song, The House Of The Rising Sun, The Animals had a huge hut with it, but it was originally meant to be sung be a woman and is about her fall from grace. In 1980 Dolly Parton covered the song on her "9 To 5 & Odd Jobs" album (an album of "working" songs). I always thought it was odd that she spun it as a song about prostitution, but as it turns out, that's what it's original intent was.
