Just finished 9/3/83, with that cool story about the ghost-inhabited church the Eurythmics had just bought in London ahead of "Sweet Dreams". That place was eventually turned into a recording studio, after another artist who bought it from Dave Stewart considered turning it into an apartment building (or "block of flats" as Brits would call it)... Bob Dylan reportedly made tracks there among many others... dL Ha! I just finished that show yesterday too--and what a great show it was. Starting with George Benson's "Lady Love Me", it was just one classic hit after another. Another example of why 1983 is one of the best years ever for Top 40 music... On to 9/11/76 now--Alan Parsons Project at #39 with the "Doctor Tar and Professor Feather" song...strange title, but I have to admit I really like the song.

^I like that show a lot more than you. But I am listening to 9/30/2000 and Casey just said that "Who Let the Dogs Out" was inspiring the Seattle Mariners. Said they were leading the AL West standings. First time I have ever heard Casey mention anything about current standings in a league.

The 3rd hour picked up and was pretty good. They must have been well enough in first to be able to say it with confidence with 9-10 days from recording to air.
Just started AT20 AC from 1/11/03

The Newcomers special has a good song selection but I am not big on the music beds under Casey between songs

Just finished 9/11/76 - what a great show - maybe the best of 1976? Can't think of another show in '76 that has so many great classic songs and lost hits. Not really a bad song in the bunch--heck I even liked the Helen Reddy song!
On to 9/13/80 - not a big fan of "Emotional Rescue" (in the top 3 recap--one of the Stones' weaker hits IMHO), but otherwise a solid start to the show with a couple of good lost hits in the Larsen-Feiten Band and Amy Holland cuts...

Doing 10-2-82 with Mark Elliott subbing. Good mix, especially liked hearing The Gap Band who most mainstream stations ignore.

AT10 from 6/27/09. Looking back now, you can really hear the strain in Casey's voice in these last shows.

Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 from October 4, 2003. Now on, the sure shot - Michelle Branch "Breathe", one of my personal favourites.
