Taking it back 20 years to hear Casey count down the top 40 hits from January 30, 1999. So many great memories in this one - and it was the only week on top for Eagle-Eye Cherry's big hit, "Save Tonight". Currently listening to that same show as well, which is dated 20 years ago today. Hope everyone is staying warm; had a low of -29 here this morning!!! (That's the actual temp, not the RealFeel, which was -49!) Getting through the remaining 1978 shows in the car; currently on 11/25. I recently moved and now will be spending considerably more time in the car commuting so it's a golden opportunity to get caught up.

In the car, nearing the end of 12/9/1978. Got the day off today; just finished up CT40 2/1/1992. Now a Seacrest AT40 from 1/29/2005, with 2/4/2006 on deck.

Just finished listening to AT40 from February 7,1981. After hearing February 2, 1980 this past weekend, I am astounded on how much pop music deteriorated in just that one year time frame.

Just starting the February 14th 1987 show (recorded from the long gone CFN - miss that station, they always had a great sounding stream and had some great end of hour extras, sadly we in europe have no stations airing the 80s charts )

iHeart is playing 10/30/70 right now, a chart I haven't heard before. That's always fun.

^ I'm considering an AT40 marathon next year (either in January or July on its 50th anniversary) beginning with the very first show, going all the way through to the 1977 year-end.
My current marathon began with 1/7/1978 at the start of 2018, and I'm almost through 1/20/1979 now (1978 year-end included, even though I'd heard it several times before). Been getting through 2-3 shows in the car each week with my lengthy commute times.

10/27/79 (I know, I know, but I listen to what I have in order of airdates) I just got to the story of the bogus Fleetwood Mac, put together in the Bob Welch/Christine McVie years by their manager after the real group decided to pass on touring for a time. The five members shortly became a legit band called Stretch (Wiki link), and their first hit, " Why Did You Do It?", was aimed at Mick Fleetwood, who could have toured with them but didn't. dL

Dale Latimer, love that tidbit from the story in the 10/27/1979 show, which I'll be listening to later this year as I go through my marathon of 1979 shows in order. (And no, I don't get sick of hearing the same songs show after show; this is in my sweet spot musically.) Finished the 1/20 show earlier today, went straight into 1/27. In the final part of Hour 1, which has the archive song "Heart Of Gold" by Neil Young. Love that tune.

A long and trying day with cold, snow, and morons on the roadway-so I popped in AT40 from 2-26-77. I don't know which one of the "five Casey's" that I heard, but he had an interesting take on the "then upcoming" KISS comic book.

In honour of me returning within the state borders of Wyoming for the first time in nearly 27 years, I am listening to the top songs from the last time I was there - Casey's Top 40 from July 25, 1992.

David Perry guest-hosting CT40 from February 22, 1997.
This was the 9th and final week at #1 for No Doubt's "Don't Speak" - I just saw Gwen Stefani's residency show in Las Vegas and she performed almost all of her big hits - this was one of the highlights of the show.
