I did not place this into the section of "American Top 40 Classics with Casey Kasem and Shadow Stevens" because I did not think that it would fit there.
Are there any music albums or singles in which the front (or back) cover really catches your eye? It makes you wonder what the song is about (especially if you have never heard the song before). Here are some examples that I can think of.
On the front cover of my 45 to "Fremder Mann" by Marianne Rosenberg, she smiles at the camera. However, in the song, she sings about someone that she really wants to meet. She is very much in love with this stranger.
I love the cover to the album "Reflector" by the band Pablo Cruise. It makes me think about the Summer.
The cover of the single for the song "Everything I Need" from Men At Work looks interesting to me. I cannot determine if the picture is in a home or not (it almost reminds me of a Hospital, or a Laboratory). It looks so strange and surreal to me. A man stares at the camera, a guitar lies in the bed, and I think that I can see a fish (??) in the window.
Finally, my Cassette Tape single for the song "Jumper" from Third Eye Blind. Pictures of the four band members are each in a shade of red, yellow, blue, and green. However, the chorus of this song, when he tries to talk someone out of Suicide, gets my attention.
I know that there are some album and single covers that are considered the best of all time. However, these are just some of my favorite ones (as well as the ones that I can think of now).

Three album covers immediately come to mind. Barbra Streisand's "Butterfly" no idea what is on the album but the cover is a stick of butter with a fly on it. The Steve Miller Band's "Let Your Hair Down", the cover shows a bald man with a rabbit using a ladder to climb down from his head. Finally ABBA's "The Visitors". The cover shows all four members in a library, they are all looking off to the left as if they hear something. This is based on the song "The Visitors" which is about paranoia and hiding out afraid someone is trying to get in. One article I read said that was the most depressing album cover of the bands career because they aren't looking at the camera and all look sullen, a sign of the discord in the band at the time. Sadly that reviewer totally missed the point of the photo.

I looked at pictures of some of their other albums, and they do look happier in those than for this one.
