On the 5-3-80 top 3 recap, 'Ride like the wind' was edited by Premiere. It wasn't that way. on the original broadcast.

On the 5-3-80 top 3 recap, 'Ride like the wind' was edited by Premiere. It wasn't that way. on the original broadcast. Personally, I would have no problem with Premiere severely editing all of the 'recap' songs. Always seemed like useless padding to me. It's not like we won't hear them again in the show.

Premiere edited OE 'Find a way' At 3:25, it was short enough.

^ Evidently, not short enough.

Foolish Beat on this week's 1988 show had a weird edit toward the end. Same awkward-sounding edit in the show we heard this week (7/9/88). Quoting this old post because we hear this edit again this weekend.

Arthur's theme was edited. Wasn't that way, on the original broadcast. Ditto, for Who's crying now? Premiere must be adding even MORE commercials!

My current language calendar for 2019 has an English idiom for every week. This week´s idiom is ... old chestnuts .

Listening to this weeks 70's show (9/30/78), I noticed a few edits that were not in the original show. "Hot Blooded" was edited shorter than the 3:03 single version. The original AT40 shows they just played the single version of "Hot Blooded".
On the original show they played the US edit of "Who Are You". On the Premiere show they edited in the Lp version and hacked it up to create a censored custom edit. The US edit is already censored where "hell" replaces another word.
Finally, there wasn't too much difference on "Don't Look Back". The original show played an edit of the promo 45. The Premiere show had a version that was close, but contained a small part that was in the long version, but cut from the promo version.

On the Classic AT40 channel side, there's three four-hour 70s shows where they play all four hours (10/21/1978, 3/17/1979 and 08/25/1979) but they edit out the LDDs* and the archive songs.
*As far as the 3/17/1979 show, they edit out the LDD's but they leave in the teases for them.

Wow! On this week's AT40 from 1976, the hack on Kiss' "Beth" is so clumsy, I can't believe it was an original edit. But then again, it was in the same segment as "Do You Feel Like I Do?" so who knows?

For some reason, Premiere did a good hatchet job on 'Say, say, say'. Didn't need to do that, folks!

I hate to burst Premiere's bubble, but the days of the 3-minute single are long gone. No need to keep editing the songs that run past 3 minutes.

Unusual edit for 'I live for your love'. Jumped keys in mid-chorus.

Unusual edit for 'I live for your love'. Jumped keys in mid-chorus. Yeah, but it wasn't quite as bad as the one in "Honestly" by Stryper.
