Inspired by the thread here, I wanted to start a thread about songs that you're glad you heard Casey count down during his run on AT40/CT40. My favorite example is from just before he left AT40, when he counted down 50 Cent's "P.I.M.P." (I'm guessing the issues with mentioning "I Want Your Sex" no longer applied, as I'm not aware of him skipping the title of this song during its chart run). Another example is the Buggles' "Video Killed The Radio Star". It only spent one week in the Top 40 in 1979 but became famous in 1981 for obvious reasons. Glad to have heard Casey count it down. And although it's not a song, it was fun hearing Casey mention rapper Eazy-E's name during a story he told about Bone Thugs-N-Harmony's "Tha Crossroads" (which was a tribute to Eazy-E following his death). Since Eazy didn't make the Top 40, it was one of the few times I think he would have mentioned his name on the air.

Reading the other thread, and listening to this weekend's show from 1987, I was thinking that it was cool we got to hear Casey count down the Grateful Dead, if only for one song.

I was glad to hear Casey counting down, as he called them, "the B.H. Surfers." (Their actual name was the Butthole Surfers.)

Do you know what show Casey mentioned the Butthole (can't believe the board censor left that alone) Surfers? According to the site listing Radio and Records chart hits, their song "Pepper" peaked at #42.
