This is a question I don't think I've ever seen on this board. I know that there have been times a song was the biggest mover on the Top 40 two times. Has a song ever been the biggest mover three or even more times? It would seem hard to do, but during some eras of slow movers there might have been a few songs that could have done it.

Every Breath You Take was the biggest mover within the countdown for three consecutive weeks: 6/11/83, 6/18/83, and 6/25/83.

Madonna was the biggest mover three consecutive weeks with "Like A Virgin" at the end of 1984: #38 to #21, #21 to #11, then #11 to #3.

Tiffany's "Could've Been" did it too, though we'll only get to hear two out of the three:
12/19/87: 38-24. 12/26/87: 24-16. 1/16/88: 14-5.
On 1/9/88 she lost out to The Pet Shop Boys & Dusty Springfield with "What Have I Done to Deserve This?". (She only moved up two, while they jumped 39-31.) Still, this may make hers the only song to do it three nonconsecutive times.

Here's a three-consecutive one from the R&R era: 'N Sync's "This I Promise You" (which also has the dubious distinction - compared to these - of failing to reach #1)
9/30/2000: 33-27 10/7: 27-20 10/14: 20-12
