I just heard "Dear Future Husband" by Meghan Trainor today for the first time. That one qualifies.

Baby I love your way - Big Mountain Actually, the Big Mountain song has an "Ooh" at the beginning. And I believe that they say "Mmm..." at the beginning of "Hold On Tight".

"Who's That Girl" by Madonna in 1987, and the same title by Eurythmics in 1984.
"99" by Toto is another example.

1985 number ones seem to do it quite a bit. Another one is "Say You, Say Me" by Lionel Richie. Another '85 song--though it didn't reach #1: "One Night In Bangkok". A caveat here however--the album version is the one that starts with the chorus, and thus the title of the song is sung first. However, the version from the Chess musical starts into the first verse after the Thai-styled instrumental intro (which is the version AT40 played in almost every countdown that included the song if I'm not mistaken). So whether or this song fits depends on the version...

"The Belle Of St. Mark" by Sheila E (I heard this forgotten song for the first time in years a couple nights ago on SiriusXM's 80's on 8.)
