Thanks, mkarns and JMW. The 4-hour shows at 8:00PM vs. 8:00AM was the thinking there, primarily because of the fun listening to the Beatles on both Memorial and Labor Day weekends. In the old school radio days, "Sunday Night Specials" typically ended at midnight, so AT40 should be a completely retro experience airing it that way. I'm still not sure this is permanent, but so far it's working well (airing two shows when offered with PD's blessings). The Beatles special was a WODC thing for sure. The program was simply saved to run on the next summer holiday because it worked so well the first time. If there is another two-fer down the road, I am confident WODC will oblige once more.

KOKZ DID play all the extras for the 4-hour 1979 show today.
I for one, will happily record their parallel universe broadcast of 1981 tomorrow. if only for Breaking Away and You Could Take My Heart Away....

Saturday predictions 7pm CKOC 1971 - prediction (very likely) 10pm WMGN 1979 - confirmed (repeats on next Saturday 7am) My most reliable combo when there's a 2-fer. CKOC always goes with the "older" year and Magic 98 always chooses the more recent. So I get to hear both back-to-back.

WOGL who's stream is one of the best played 1979 (3hrs). Their on air signal is only 20 minutes away from me(starts after exit 9 on the NJ turnpike going south)and continues along Route US 30 to Lancaster.

There are some great songs on hour 1 of the 1979 show. Ricki Lee Jones use to sleep under the Hollywood sign. Good stuff! lol.
