With the unofficial official list showing a choice of two shows for 7th & 8th September which stations will broadcast 1st September 1979 (3 or 4 hours) or 4th September 1971?

I wouldn't be surprised if WODC played both, from what they've done over the last couple of weeks. If they air 1979 it should be the complete four hours.

Smooth 70s always delivers. They had a hiccup last week when their stream failed but came back strong maybe it is wishful thinking on my part but the already good sound quality seems improved a little bit more.Maybe a little tweak.

CKOC in Ontario,Canada will likely play 1971,WMGN (Magic 98) in Madison,WI will feature 1979 (the three-hour version) & hopefully Mike Eiland & the gang at Oldies 93.3 will feature the full four-hour countdown from 9/1/79.

WLS will probably echo Magic 98 and play 1979 (3 hours), since they have a tendency to run the late 70s shows.

Almost certain to play the full 4-hour 1979 show:
KOKZ - Waterloo, IA WODC - Columbus, OH Smooth 70's UK
And maybe: KTHI - Boise, ID
Not sure what the status is on: WJER - Dover, OH CJFX - Antigonish, Nova Scotia
Don't know if there are any others?
And speaking of KOKZ...wondering what 80's show they will air, since it's an '87 show this week...

Based on recent patterns, WWZW and WSNV probably air the three hour 1979 countdown (WSNV almost always takes the A show, and the time they didn't, two weeks ago, they opted for the later 1970s choice.)
KTHI has often played 4 hour countdowns before, but the last couple of times they had a choice like this they went for the older of the two countdowns, so I wouldn't be surprised if they play 1971.
Smooth 70s from Britain confirms that they will play the 1971 countdown on Saturday and the complete 1979 show Sunday.

Per their websites, KKLZ will play 1971 while Smooth 70s will again play both shows, 1971 Saturday morning and the four hour 1979 Sunday morning.

WJER will play the 1979 show after the Ohio State game (kickoff is at 3:30) but it's unknown if they'll play all four hours*.
*Unknown because they've been starting with hour #2 of the four-hour shows since July 2012, but they played all four hours of the 90s special this past weekend.

And WODC delivers once again: 1971 at 9 AM Sunday, and the complete 1979 at 8 PM. I hope the four-hour shows always come on Sunday nights from now on. It was always a struggle for me to get up for them when they came on at 8:00 AM.
