If you believe Duane Doobie, Music Editor/Director of RadioInfo.com, the latest release from Sir Paul McCartney is a hot item. He writes in a headline story posted August 29th " “This could be one of the most important records to come down the pike in quite some time..." and "This is an out-of-the-box number one radio song if there ever was one..." The story concludes by saying the song will debut at #1 on RadioInfo's Pop and Rock song charts. Really! To me, it's a likeable song and as good as anything Paul has put out post-Beatles. But does it really have the stuff to chart high in this day and age? We'll see. If it does, hey...great! www.youtube.com/watch?v=pE_1V0phMW8

Likeable, yes. But as good as anything he has put out post-Beatles? Really???
I wish he would have written and recorded this song and last year's beauty, "My Valentine", back in those years when he wasn't releasing pop songs, when his voice was stronger. I hear the age in his voice lately. Sadly, I think that will prevent it from being a big hit.
