Forty years ago Donny Osmond hit the 40 with a remake of Sonny James' 1957 hit "Young Love." Shortly after that, sister Marie had her first Top 40 hit, "Paper Roses," which was produced by...Sonny James! Coincidence? Did Donny's hit influence the Southern Gentlemen to get in touch with the Osmond clan? Or did they get in touch with him to produce Marie's record, and while that was happening, Donny get the idea to do Sonny's old hit? Anybody know? Casey should have told the story, but I don't think he ever did.
