Initially I thought this thread was just joking around. But it looks like that wasn't the case. So here is my opinion, for what it's worth. I have listened to this song from every source, probably 1000's of times. Never once have I heard anything but, "When I'm bad I'm so so oh bad". I think this discussion belongs in the "Four Hundred Children" thread. I can only imagine how Donna Summer would have rolled her eyes if she heard about people hearing it another way. It just goes to show that people will hear what they want to hear and they love controversy. It reminds me when I was a kid and a friend of mine used to sing the James Taylor "Handy Man" lyrics of: "Here is the main thing I want to say. I'm busy 24 hours a day" as.... "Urine is the main thing I want to spray. I'm busy 24 hours a day" I would place the Donna Summer "controversy" in that category. I only brought up the topic because, just in the last few days, I heard it on the radio - ohhhhhhh on the radio - ohhhhhhh on the radio. Anyway, I and some angry Wendy's customers and some lyrics site editors heard "horny". www.youtube.com/watch?v=qU3MXibkIx4At 2:54. Horny. But maybe that version was never played on the - on the - well you know - back then. That is the version I have always heard, but I still don't hear an "r" anywhere in that delivery. I was a huge Donna Summer fan back in the day and this is the first I have heard about anyone hearing the lyric as "horny". So no controversy was present all of those years. Any lyric site posting it as "horny" loses a great amount of credibility. But one controversy I do recall is the Manfred Mann version of "Blinded By The Light". In that one I did fall victim to hearing one line incorrectly and to this day I still hear it incorrectly.

That's not the way any English-speaking person, British or American, pronounces "deuce"!

I hear this song a lot on lacal radio stations, and I've thought for a while that she says "horny" towards the end - which would sort of fit with her "sex kitten" image she had then - but I don't have any proof this is what she actually sang.
I guess we'll never know for sure!

"Pony" by Ginuwine from 1997 also mentions "horny."
If your horny, Let's do it Ride it, My Pony My saddle's waiting Come and jump on it
I didn't realize it until Dr. Burnham on Rick Dees show did a lyrical analysis.

I even hate to bring it up, just because it is Donna Summer and she's already been misunderstood, but in another song of hers I misunderstood a couple of lines the first time I heard it. On, "Hot Stuff", I literally did a double take because the lyric, "Wanna share my love with a warm blooded lover. Wanna bring a wild man back home", I swore she sang, "Wanna share my love with a woman lover. Wanna bring a woman back home". I literally had to see the lyrics to believe that it was "warm blooded" and "wild man". In fact, both phrases still sound like, "woman" to me.

Since "Last Dance" is questionable, can we assume that the first confirmed appearance of "horny" in the Top 40 was on "Naughty Naughty" by John Parr?
And the third appearance (following John Parr and 2 Live Crew) was in "Vibeology" by Paula Abdul?
(I'm putting way too much thought into this.)

I'm still trying to figure out why Manfred Mann and that girl were kissing a little mole at his door. I've heard of toad licking, but mole kissing? And what moles AREN'T little, anyway? Or maybe it was a skin mole, but if so, that means one of them was kissing their own mole. What's up with that? Or maybe they were kissing a highly spiced Mexican sauce made chiefly from chili peppers and chocolate, served with meat. They were probably horny, or honey, or hold me.
