#20 is the highest song which was never played on AT40. In 1971, you had to go further down than any other year to get to a song never played on AT40 and it was the Stylistics first single at #45. With soul not as prevalent on AT40 from this point forward, I doubt that will change with the unveiling of the top soul songs in subsequent years. Great lists!
A gem at #81...Candi Staton covering "Nights on Broadway". Can actually understand all the lyrics too in this version! Thought "Young Hearts Run Free" was her only foray into disco.

Once again, great stuff. Nice to see Brick's "Dusic" up there at #14; I never hear it replayed on mainstream radio outside of select AT40 countdowns from late 1977.

Candy Staton’s cover was much better even at the cost of cutting the slow part of the original (the part that starts with “I will wait…” in the Bee Gees version.)
