I tried and tried but I could not find a station with good reception for the Beatles special. KLFM did not seem to be in stereo and I missed the WORC airing. Does anyone have a good recording of the Beatles special and would be willing to share it?

3WZ was stuck on repeat-they played I Want To Hold Your Hand three times The same thing happened yesterday morning, playing the regular 1974 show; several segments repeated online, at least, and the top two songs never aired. I don't understand it; usually they're fine.

WORC Beatles special now 6:03 am EDT WORC played all 4 opt songs this morning (3:50 total time) and all 3 opt songs last Saturday morning show. I didn't know WORC (which is local to me) was going to run the Beatles special; I was pleasantly surprised to flip on the radio just before 7:00 yesterday morning and hear "The Beatles Movie Medley", although I did miss the first hour of the show as a result. They seemed to be running the normal amount of local commercials, but leaving the spots where network ads would normally appear commercial-free. As noted above, the show ended about ten minutes early. My wife and my daughter caught part of WORC's Sunday evening broadcast on the car radio, and reported that at the end of the third hour, in addition to the "Nobody Told Me" optional extra, WORC also played "No More Lonely Nights", perhaps to fill time lost to the lack of network ads. Did anyone else hear this? Did they add any other homegrown extras? I didn't notice any in their Saturday morning broadcast. We had a discussion about the Beatles special a while back when someone briefly posted it on youtube: at40fg.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=classic&thread=2600&page=1In that thread I had commented that the version of "I Feel Fine" that was played appears to have been the atrocious-sounding "fake stereo" version that was the commonly available version of this song in the U.S. at that time. My ten-year-old daughter, who is used to the much clearer true stereo version that has been the standard version since the advent of the Beatles on CDs in the late '80s, actually noticed that something was amiss with the song, and asked if it was a different version from what she has in her iPod.... As great as it was to hear the Beatles special on the radio again after all these years, I was glad that my other go-to station for '70s AT40, Magic 98 on Saturday night, ran the 1974 show. It was a great show, and I'm glad I got to hear most of both of this week's options. (I still haven't heard any of the first hour of the Beatles special this weekend -- maybe I can catch it somewhere tomorrow.)

Does anyone have a good recording of the Beatles special and would be willing to share it? KLFM's stream is mono...found that out when I used them for the 12/9/78 show back in December.

Not to worry, KOLA 99.9 FM out of Redlands, California will not broadcast that 1981 AT40 Beatles special because they have now deemed The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra and many more as unlistenable from their survey of people who are not even actual listeners and so I along with other actual listeners have deemed their radio station as unlistenable, apparently the 1990s are in now! One word for KOLA ...."pathetic"
