Thought it might be nice to have our members indicate by station, which will play the 1974 version or the Beatles Special. Thanks to all who can contribute. I am certain that CKWW will go with the "A" selection, that being 1974. Thanks and hope everyone has a safe and happy Memorial Day weekend.

Choices for stations carrying the 1970s program: A)May 25, 1974 B)Beatles 3 hours only C)Beatles complete D)both shows for Memorial Day weekend programming
Choices for stations carrying the 1980s program: A)May 25, 1985 B)Beatles complete C)3-hour version of A or B D)both shows for Memorial Day weekend programming
Looks like this could get a little complicated.

Smooth 70s, per their page, is only carrying 1974. I didn't think they'd spring for a show enough of whose music doesn't fit the format. dL

I noticed in the opening for 5/25/1974, the cat noises (if you want to call it) in the theme were still there, but on other shows surrounding it, they didn't use it. This doesn't apply to hour 2 or hour 3 (as far as I know).

My local non-streaming affiliate WTOJ will be playing the Beatles at 10 and 2 (two airings) on Memorial Day, as well as the 80's show on Saturday and the 70's show on Sunday.

Didnt last year they give the option for these specials Memorial Day and then force them by having them as the only ones available for the July 4 weekend?

They offered The Top 40 Songs of the Rock Era to 70s affiliates and The Top 40 Newcomers of the 1980s to 80s affiliates as options that weekend. The Top 40 Songs of the Rock Era and The Top 40 Hits of the Disco Era were offered to 70s affiliates the weekend of July 4.

WODC double delivers this week, with both the regular 1974 countdown on Sunday morning and "The Compleat Beatles" (to refer to a 1980s documentary) that night. No WQSR for me this week...

Ditto. Thanks. Also saw on Facebook that WKQK (Memphis) will air the Beatles special at 3PM EST Sunday.

WJER's website says they're running the Beatles show on Saturday (immediately following Cleveland Indians game) and repeating it again Monday night at 7pm EDT.
Madison's Magic 98 will run the '74 show Saturday night.
