Vincent Montana, Jr., a percussionist who played on hits by acts like The Jackson 5, The O'Jays, The Stylistics, and dozens of others, died on April 13, 2013 at the age of 85. Montana went on to form Salsoul Records. He was the leader of the Salsoul Orchestra which had two top 40 hits, a remake of "Tangerine", and the catchy (if, for the time, the somewhat risqué) "Nice 'N' Naasty." Salsoul Records had two additional top 40 hits (that I can remember) - "Spring Rain" by Silvetti, and "Call Me" by Skyy.
