AT40 was on vinyl from October 1971, but I guess Shannon was using a reel recording to prepare the show for Premiere, which has never aired 4/29/78. I'm guessing the weekend of April 27-28 they'll play it.

The first generation Hollywood masters for every show are on reel to reel. These were used for developing the stampers for pressing the vinyl. As such, anything direct from the reels is lossless and is so much fuller and alive. It's like sitting in the studio listening to the tapes.
