I just finished listening to this show. And as Casey gave number 1, he said every song from 11 on had all remained at the same position as last week. I would think that was incredible back then. Had it ever happened before? Back when the chart moved did it ever happen again?

I seem to remember a time back in August, 1978 where a large portion of the chart (Top 14 or so) that all the songs were standing still. Something like that also happened on either August 21 or 28 in 1982.

I can verify the week of 8/19/78 - the top 14 stayed the same.
It's not as unusual as you might think. Back then, bulleted songs could not move down. On 8/12/78, every song from #1 to #14 except for #4 ("Miss You" by the Rolling Stones) had a bullet. And "Miss You" had just fallen from #1 to #4.

8/28/82 - top 12 stays the same. On 8/21/82, the top 12 all had a bullet.
And yes - on 3/26/83, the top 11 all had a bullet - leading up to 4/2/83's non-moving top 11.
