KOLA 99.9 have always been good for me. Use ta be good, while I still like 'em for Casey Kasem, they have changed formats as of 2 weeks ago, their programming director Gary told me how it is done with a stupid song survey taken by people that not even actual listeners who say what songs are now listenable at present which determines what will get airplay, so these idiots are now on my crap list and will probably dump AT40 eventually too! Sad...music testing of the worst kind which has wrecked a lot of UK radio stations as well, by leading them into a cycle of repeating the same few songs over & over. I heard KOKZ in Waterloo Iowa today...like KCLH they also have the problem of coming out of some breaks and missing the beginning of the AT40 segments.

My '80s choice is WMMX-FM, Dayton. My '70s choice for the 4-hour show is KOKZ, Waterloo, IA. Otherwise, it's CKRU-FM, Peterborough, ON.

They don't play optional extras, which I know is a sin around here, but I enjoy WOCL Orlando for the 70s on Sunday mornings. They have never played a wrong show or missed a segment that I have ever heard. It's our local classic hits/oldies station, and they have a great live and local airstaff, and a great playlist that is refreshed frequently. So many oldies stations can sound so stale, but Sunny FM is the best station I have heard in a long time. And the fact that they air AT40 is just icing on the cake!

I'd like to add B105.7 in Indianapolis, which has now carried AT40/80s for 2 years. They also play all 4 extras. Plus, a nod of appreciation to WLS-FM in Chicago. Out of all of the radio stations licensed to the 3 largest US cities, only one broadcasts an AT40 show from Premiere. davewollenberg, don't you listen to WLS?

While driving to Lancaster,PA yesterday, I was really surprised how powerful AT40 station, oldies WOGL in Philli really is. At the NJ turnpike going south right after exit 9/New Brunswick. The station at 98.1 started coming in. This CBS station plays more 60's and 70's than its sister station WCBS-FM in NYC. The station continued to be strong all the way into Lancaster, PA, nearly 150 miles from where I first picked it up. WCBS-FM does not have a strong signal like WOGL has. By the way, WOGL is a much better oldies station than WCBS-FM. Maybe WCBS should pay special attention to their sister station 90 miles away....and they still refuse to play classic AT40 in the biggest city in the world and never ever answer E-mails. I guess they feel high and mighty but they forget, it's the listener like us that makes them popular. Keep up the great work WOGL.

I may be in the minority on this, but as much as love the shows past, present & future, WCBS-FM doesn't need to add AT40 to its lineup. It has no history with Casey Kasem & it is a Hollywood based show. On top of that, the station has a history of playing many classic hits that barely make ripples on the national charts.
I do agree classic AT40 needs a home on NY metro radio, but WCBS-FM should not be that affiliate.

WOGL did not have a history with Casey until 6 years ago when it started airing the '70's shows...and before it was WOGL, WCAU was a hot hits format featuring superstar jocks like Terry Young and did not have a history of AT40 either.

It has no history with Casey Kasem<<< Casey has a history in NYC; that's all that matters. >>> it is a Hollywood based show<<< That logic makes no sense. Over the years there have been hundreds of radio and TV shows based in Hollywood (and LA) that have aired in NYC. And the reverse is true too. >>> the station has a history of playing many classic hits that barely make ripples on the national charts.<<< Classic hits that barely make ripples? By whose definition is a classic hit? Besides, it seems like AT40 from both the 70s and 80s was the same way -- a lot of unknown titles played but "classics" to some nonetheless. Sorry, but your reasoning just isn't convincing. With another AT40 anniversary (its 43rd) just 6 weeks away, what a great surprise it would be if the show (either the 70s or 80s edition) were to make its way into that market in conjunction with the July 4th holiday.
