I spent the weekend listening to American Top 40 from February 28, 1981 and the Beatles really made their presence felt. For example, their songs, "Here Comes The Sun" was featured in a Long Distance Dedication. "A Hard Day's Night" was featured in the AT40 archives. John Lennon had 2 songs in the Top 40 that week with "(Just Like) Starting Over" and "Woman". Casey also did a story about the song, "Woman" as he mentioned that John Lennon's version was the second song titled "Woman" that was written by one of the Beatles, as Paul McCartney wrote a song titled "Woman" as he used the pseudonym "Bernard Webb" and the song was a Top 20 hit for Peter and Gordon in 1966. Wait there's more! A trivia question even involved the Beatles as a listener asked, "What group was second to the Beatles in most Top 40 hits"?

It was still only mere 2-1/2 months after Lennon was shot. I remember well there being a wave of Beatles nostalgia all throughout 1981. Probably the biggest reason "Medley" made it to #1 in the summer of that year. And oh yeah--even AT40 did their July 4th special of all Beatles songs...
