I'm glad to hear that ABC will be doing a salute to the late great Dick Clark-I remember watching the initial broadcast of "New Year's Rockin Eve" on 12/31/72-Helen Reddy & Three Dog Night were two of the acts that performed that evening.

This will be the first of many NYRE episodes I will not be recording this year. I won't be recording the show anymore, seeing that all I cared about the show was the 1% of the show being given face time for Dick Clark. Now that he's no longer with us, it won't be as enjoyable anymore. I cannot stand Ryan Seacrest (my signature picture speaks volumes), as he is nobody I grew up with on TV or anywhere.
I may record the 2-hour tribute, but if I want my fix of Dick Clark on New Year's Eve, I will tune into Game Show Network (GSN) for the marathon of The $25,000 Pyramid and The $100,000 Pyramid on December 31.

I don't hate him. So, I am watching if here and recording if not to see how this all turns out this year.
