Even though most of us have never met, wishing the best for anyone in the path of the storm for those of us here in our little AT40 fan family. Stay in touch when you can, and stay safe out there.

Sandy won't affect me. It won't come anywhere near Newfoundland as far as the current track maps go. So thus far, I am in the clear.
But regardless, I pray for the best for the people who are in the path of this mega-storm.

I live in one of the states affected by Hurricane Sandy (New Jersey). Thankfully, I made it out all right.

I was mildly affected (power was knocked out for 2 days), but the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is far worse than anyone could imagine. The entire Mid Atlantic region of the US has been ripped apart and destroyed especially Philadelphia, New Jersey, & New York City. Listening to the AT40 - 70's from 11/04/72 on my android from CKWW sounded ironic it got to the end. I hope the members of this board affected by the storm are safe.
As much as like classic AT40, I hope all the affiliates in or near storm affected areas preempt the show. There are more important things these stations need to do for their damaged communities than rebroadcast an old show.

The hurricane made landfall near Atlantic City. BTW, the New York City Marathon is still scheduled for this Sunday. I think they should cancel it.

Like Honestly, I was so busy, I took my eyes off Facebook after Sunday night - apparently, like last time, I stopped paying attention one day too early. Sorry. Also, I haven't heard a word about Philly. If that's true, there is someone I need to check on again.... Okay, not a lot of detail but she's in good enough shape to be trying to pledge money to the telethon.

We were hit pretty good here. I clocked 72 MPH at my weather station. I did not lose any power, but many trees fell in the area. I live in the shoreline community and many homes were destroyed along the coast. I fell sorry for the ones that were affected by Hurricane Irene of August of 2011 got their homes destroyed again by Sandy.
