2009 to 2022--wow. I think this is a new record for a dead thread springing back to life. And in 2007 there was someone else on here from Tucson, about five years before I discovered these boards. Wonder why 'coldcardinal' went silent?
I would never think of something where I would dig up a thread that old.

The odd thing here is that corey, the OP, is labeled as a "New Member".

BACK-man Turner Overdrive? BAHK-man Turner Overdrive? or just BTO? Does this also count for Taj "She's So High" Bachman that Casey pronounced the name BACK-man or BAHKman back in 1999?

Unlikely he'll reach next status. His last post was over 9 years ago.

When “Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)” was on the chart, I believe at least once, Casey said “U.S. 3” instead of “Us 3.”

I'll check later to confirm. I think it was the week when “Anything For You” hit #1 when Casey listed off a bunch of names he got wrong over the years, and he did say it was supposed to be “back-man.” Another one he got wrong (and most Americans in general) was putting an extra “a” in Tijuana Brass. “Tijuana” is only 3 syllables.

Nowadays that is true. As a look at an old map or atlas will confirm, the name of the now-large Mexican border city across the line from San Diego was originally two words: Tia Juana, Spanish for 'aunt Juana'.
