To match the day: Pop star Falco, who died in 1998, is unforgotten by his fans: On Thursday afternoon, an approximately 135 kilogram heart-shaped grave wreath was laid at Falco´s honorary grave at the Vienna Central Cemetery. The fans Gerhard Zink and his life partner Celine Walter had the approximately 135 kilogram heavy wreath made. "Falco is my center of life." Zink told the APA. He and his partner Celine run the fan website "Falcoheaven" ( www.falcoheaven.com/) with lots of information about the musician. The couple also takes care of the Falco grave and visits it as often as time permits. "We are permanent guests at his grave, it is our place of contemplation with him." It had been noticed that flowers were always put down, but in the cold season hardly any wreaths. Gerhard and Celine came up with the idea of having a special wreath made for Falco alias Johann Hölzl. The aim had even been to create the "greatest heart wreath of Europe". The decorative result has a height of more than two metres, weighs about 135 kilograms and is decorated with 41 roses, among other things. It cost around 2,000 euros and was financed by donations from fans and friends. Those who made a financial contribution are immortalized on the loops on the wreath. It shall not be a one-off operation. In the future the fans want to lay a wreath every year at the last resting place of their idol.

Extras from previous airings: 2007:John Cougar Mellencamp - Small Town Dire Straits - Walk Of Life Miami Sound Machine - Conga Baltimora - Tarzan Boy
2013: Clarence Clemons & Jackson Browne - You´re A Friend Of Mine Night Ranger - Goodbye Baltimora - Tarzan Boy John Cougar Mellencamp - Small Town 2016:Clarence Clemons & Jackson Browne - You´re A Friend Of Mine Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Round (Like A Record) Baltimora - Tarzan Boy John Cougar Mellencamp - Small Town Guessing if nothing else, they would revert to the 2013 extras with "Goodbye" since the Dead or Alive cut was played as a tribute to the recently deceased lead singer (Peter Burns?). The 2007 set of extras is actually quite a good set too. Crazy--this stretch has been similar to 2011 when we got the following shows from 1985 in the second half of the year: 7/13/85, 9/7/85, 10/12/85, 11/16/85, 12/14/85. I can't imagine we'll get a December 1985 show this year plus the year end special, but I guess we'll know soon.

I may be misremembering, but didn't Pete B say no more regular 1985 AT40s after October? (That still leaves a 1985 year end show as a possibility.) Otherwise, you're right that 1980 makes the most sense, by default, with 1983 on tap for one of the next couple of weeks and every other year having been played as an A or B less than a month prior. So Pete said October? I couldn't remember when he said the last '85 show would be--just that we'd have one for several months in a row, and he also seemed to suggest that '85 could be the year-end special. Maybe it's between 11/8/80 and 11/15/80 (which hasn't aired since 2009) next week? No other year would really work other than 1983, which has been determined to be out for next weekend... I guess I did remember or interpret his clues incorrectly. Next week's show makes six of the last seven months (May-November) with a 1985 standalone, a track record we probably don't see that often.

Optional extras for the November 7, 1987 'A' show are: "Rock And Roll All Nite" Poison "I Live For Your Love" Natalie Cole "Tell It To My Heart" Taylor Dayne "Dude (Looks Like A Lady)" Aerosmith
"Rock And Roll All Nite" replaces Laura Branigan's "Power Of Love", which was the first hour optional extra back in 2010.
I know I'm late commenting on this. I love Poison but don't remember this song? Are you sure it isn't KISS lol. EDIT: That's the only song called "Rock And Roll All Nite" I can think of. I am recording this off WWIS to listen to later so I guess I'll find out what this song is then.

Jeez--was editing out the second verse of 'Brilliant Disguise' really necessary? Assume it's an original AT40 edit.

Any stations playing the 1981 show today? I'm going to be busy for much of the day tomorrow, so KABQ is out of the question.

LM Radio have just started playing the show from Oct 25th 1980 -a 4 hour show in a 3 hour slot so it will be cut to shreds (odd that they used to air a show from the weeks current offerings, now they pick and chose what they want )

Thought it was odd when listening last night that it was the show a week before the Premiere offering, but didn't think too much about it. Link is not working today, FYI.
