Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess - 9/20/86 2nd Guess - 9/24/83 9/10/1983 is the 'B' option to the 1981 show this coming weekend so I think it's safe to say that 1983 is out of play for the week of September 21.

Other than 1986, the only other years I can see as A's for next week are 1984--9/22 could be played, but hoping for 9/29 instead; 9/20/80, but we usually don't get back to back 1980-81; and 9/25/82--kind of soon for more 1982, but not impossible.
With a 1983 B this week we probably don't get that year by itself until at least October--and three of the four October 1983 shows have been played by themselves in the last three years. 10/29/83 is the one that hasn't, and 10/15 was three years ago so it might make the cut.

Yeah you're right -- 1983 should be out for next week--guess that's what happens when I'm trying to post too quickly while doing other things at work. So 1984 really would be the other most likely possibility. Premiere has surprisingly gone relatively light on '83 so far this year, which is why I had that for the second guess, not remembering this coming weekend's 'B' show. I thought about both 1980 and '82, but 9/20/80 was played as a 'B' last year and 9/25/82 was played as a 'B' in 2017. 1982 could happen, but it doesn't seem likely for maybe another year. I do have 10/29/83 penciled in for the last weekend in October, though I am really hoping we get 11/19/83 in November (even if it's as a 'B' show).

If we do get 11/19/83, it would likely be on its own, as if Premiere continues to follow recent practice by that point the Christmas shows will probably be the only B's for both decades until we get to the year-end countdowns.

WGHN must've aired it earlier than 5 central on Saturday. They're running regular music, now.e Looks like WGHN began last week's 1987 show at 1 central today. Michigan State must have a night game. Just as a heads up this week's game is 3:00 Central so expect a time switch of some sort. I'm active on a sports broadcasting website (as is a former poster here BTW) so I can post each week's game time midweek if you want me to.

Prediction for next week's show: 1st Guess - 9/20/86 2nd Guess - 9/22/84 I'll agree with burcjm on the year, but I'll guess it ends up being 9/20/86 next week. 9/27/86 wouldn't be totally out of the question (though there's been just one instance of the show date differing by more than five days from the current date in 2019 -- that was last month's 8/16/80 airing the weekend of August 10th). A few other possibilities, but fingers crossed that 1984 waits until the last week of August. Otherwise I might begin to wonder if Premiere didn't delete all copies of 9/29/84. And we get 9/27/86 next week. Which makes me think that 9/29/84 may well be soon to follow, as the 1986 show would obviously have fit the following weekend's dates better and putting two shows that line up with the same week but are a day or two apart isn't uncommon, but Premiere usually likes to put the earlier date (i.e. 27 vs. 29) first.

This also leaves the first weekend of October wide open for 10/4/80, which hasn't aired since 2010. Since 1986 (its respective show for the same week last aired 2009) is now out of play it looks like the odds are pretty good.

I think we're both part of the same sports broadcasting website.

RIP. Premiere gets a "Fortuitous Timing" award as "Take Me Home Tonight" is one of the debuts on the 9/27/86 show. BTW, Ronnie Spector is still with us (and still performing).

I wonder if he gets a tribute as one of the optional extras. If not next week maybe the week after.
