Pretty unique Top 40 in regards to Genesis and it’s current and former members.Genesis is in with Invisible Touch,Mike+the Mechanics had All I Need Is A Miracle,Peter Gabriel with Sledgehammer and GTR with When The Heart Rule The Mind.Plus Phil was in with a LDD Against All Odds Also noteworthy is the fact that, two weeks before, Phil was still in with his solo hit "Take Me Home". Each of the above acts were also in the countdown - the only week this happened, as "Invisible Touch" was just debuting and "Take Me Home" would fall out of the countdown the following week.

Casey mentioned on the 6/21/86 show that Jonathan King was instrumental in discovering Genesis.

That looks like a standalone winner to me. Nice--thanks Pete! As with the coming weekend's 1986 show, this show was last played (as an 'A') in 2013. The op extras at that time were: Hour #1: "All You Zombies" - The Hooters (#58) Hour #2: "Summer Of '69" - Bryan Adams (#55; debuted) Hour #3: "Power Of Love" - Huey Lewis & The News (#46; highest debut) Hour #4: "St. Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)" - John Parr (#74) "All You Zombies" was a curveball pick at the time, but a great song IMHO. Hoping they keep that one, but if they were to swap out a song, that might be it. All four extras are recycled this time.

Tentatively I predict we'll hear the following shows in July:
7/4/87 7/9/88 7/19/80 7/28/84

I'd think we almost have to have 7/4/87, as 1987 is the year that hasn't been played in longest, and that's the only show from that July that wasn't either guest hosted or played just last year.
Similarly, we haven't had a 1988 A since April, and they've never cut that year off that early before. So one of the three Casey-hosted July 1988 shows should probably be heard. 8/6/88 was played last year and so is probably out.

So going into this past weekend, I "thought" I needed the 1st half of this past weeks show, 6/21/86. According to my records, I only had the 2nd half of this weeks show. So I ended up recording the 1st half this past weekend: Was in Seattle in the AM an recorded the 1st hour off Jet FM while sitting in the airport, then after my flight home, ended up recording hour 2 off Jack FM Baltimore.
Well interestingly enough, I apparently fell victim to the charismusic double take, where by they have the Q sheets for 6/21 duplicated under 6/14!!! So when I was documenting my inventory, I apparently stumbled upon charismusicgroups Q's for 6/14 and wrote down 6/14 without realizing it was actually 6/21. So I thought I had a copy of the 1st half of the 6/14 show and 2nd half of the 6/21 show. When I listened to this weeks show, Casey thanked Charlie Tuna for filling in for him, and after Pete pointed out the Q sheet descrepency, I finally came to realize after that my so-called 1st 2 hours of 6/14 was actually 6/21 and that I actually had a complete copy of 6/21 (obviously AT40 the 80s would of never aired a Charlie Tuna hosted show). Chalk it up to just 1 of those things I guess.

Yes, thanks Pete! Cue sheet for 7/4/87 cracks me up: "Here we are again on the George Michael alert..." "Fun" facts: 1) Both the 1987 and 1980 shows can also be heard on the Classic AT40 channel. 2) This is the third time in a row that 7/12/1980 has been chosen for the B show.

According to this thread, 7/12/1980 wasn't aired by Premiere last year, although it was paired with 7/12/1986 in 2017, and also aired as a "B" in 2015.
