Premiere OE's for 2/20/82 are: "I'm A Believer" "Freeze-Frame" "Edge Of Seventeen" "Theme From Magnum P.I." Premiere OE's for 2/21/87 are: "Where's The Party" - Madonna (replacing "Hooked On You") "Walking Down Your Street" "The Lady In Red" "The Finer Things" The Monkees' "I'm a Believer" was an extra in the original 1982 show. For 1987, "Where's the Party" is a track from Madonna's then-current "True Blue" album; while not released as a single it did get a substantial amount of airplay, including on the CHR/top 40 stations I then listened to. After five top 5 hits from that album, perhaps it might have been a single if she didn't have the "Who's That Girl" soundtrack songs ready to go?

^ I also remember "Where's The Party" getting a lot of airplay on the CHR station in my area, especially on Fridays in the ballpark of 5:00 PM when many peeps were getting off of work. That song was definitely worthy of hit status; too bad it wasn't officially released.

Regarding a repeat broadcast aired fairly recently, I'd like to ask, did the January 17, 1987 episode get aired as a "B" option prior to the most recent broadcast which was an "A" option?
If so, I can see what's becoming a new trend, if not frequent. Shows that were last offered as "B" options being relegated back to an "A" option. This happened with the August 6, 1988 show last August - offered as a "B" in 2014, relegated back to "A" in 2018.
Regarding the upcoming months, I can see the following being rebroadcast:
March 21, 1987 April 23, 1988 (last aired in 2010), as an "A" option. April 27, 1985 (Casey's birthday show, the anniversary of his birth occurs on a Saturday this year, so I can see this being offered as an "A" option that weekend this year)
I am hoping for the April 14, 1984 show this year, but considering the last 1984 show aired late in January, I am thinking the next 1984 broadcast will likely occur in March as a standalone. But then again, there were no 1984 episodes offered as a "B" option during February, so I am thinking there may be a 1984 offering in March, but as a "B" option.

There is a sticky thread on all the sections of this message board addressing the forum policy regarding copyrighted material. It shouldn't be a violation if you're sending a link from a subscribing AT40 station. It's only a violation if links are being provided from unauthorized internet-only streams. If it were a violation to send station links, then the entire threads of the 70's and 80's current station lists would be one big violation--and those obviously aren't since they've been there forever and have never been flagged by the board administrators.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 3/5/83 2nd Guess - 3/1/86
It almost has to be this show for next week. Hard to believe not a single '83 show has aired in any form so far this year. Last year, we had to wait until the fourth week in March, but that was presumably due to 1983 being aired as the year-end special over the holidays. Whatever it may be, it's odd that we won't get '83 until March for a second year in a row. 1986 probably waits for another two or three weeks (since 3/8/86 went last year).

Sadly timely that I'm A Believer airs the weekend after Peter Tork's death....

Casey: "Next is a woman who's been in the entertainment industry for 25 years and what an incredible career. 23 Top 40 hits. She starred in her own long-running television show back in the 70's. And in the 80's she's acted in five movies. So what has all this experience taught this woman about show business?" Me, rather sarcastically: "That you don't need to have any discernible talent to become a star?" Wow, I didn't expect Cher to practically agree with me!

Many people seem to think 3/5/83 is up next, but since 3/12/83 hasn't aired since 2010, I'd rather see that one played this year.
