Predictions for the stations with a history of playing the "B" shows: SWR - 1982 - Has not played an '84 "B" show. KOLA,KOOL - One 1982, the other 1984. WTOJ - 1982 - Every "B" played has been older show than "A". KOKZ - 1982 - It is what they usually play. KGOR - 1984 - Has been avoiding early "A" shows('80-'82) since May. KCCL - 1982 - It is what they usually play. WMGN - 1982 - Does not play last year's shows. WTIC - 1984 - Has not played 1982 this year. WEZG - Both shows Do you think since the 1980 show got shafted this weekend that next week's 84' show will be shafted as well? I will guess not, since 1984 countdowns generally contain a much higher percentage of songs that the classic hits/80's stations play today than 1980. Also, my guess is that you will probably have the lowest number of 'B' show airings when 1985 is the 'A' show like this past weekend--let's face it, 1985 is not a year that really should need to be paired with an alternate show. Are there really many stations in the 80's classic hits format that avoid or cut off at 1985?

If you're listening to the Number 1's special on WTOJ, I have to apologize for the duplication of songs going from Part 3 to Part 4. The original version of Part 3 aired which was too long. I had shortened it to move Whitney and Madonna to part 4, but the revised audio didn't get loaded into my automation system for playback. My fault. I didn't check that before it ran. Consider it like Casey playing back the top 3 songs from last week! HA HA! It won't be that way when Premiere offers them to the regular affiliates. Ken Ken, Thanks for taking the time to post on these threads. You know we all appreciate your updates and insights! Just want to say a big thank you to Ken and his staff for an excellent job on the #1s of the 80s show.. Hearing it right now and I honestly thought the show would end with "Roll With It"(Casey's last 80s show). Well it looks like we're getting bonus #1s from beyond that show. Very awesome!

Can it go further past Sweet Child o Mine for #1's?
I see that Bobby McFarrin's Don't Worry Be Happy was an extra on the very last Casey Show, I guess we'll see if the editing can make that work!

Rather than Monkey around with the number ones list. I feel a montage coming.

Yes a montage but G&R was the last #1 song that Casey announced on his last show. Future #1 at that point of course.

Just shows that with modern technology, anything is possible. . Now if only they could make up a fully edited show (one or two more from the 88 charts, and maybe say, 4 from 1989 charts) I'd be really happy. Sure it might take some time, but today shows that it could be done.

Nice! You can edit the "s" from Harris onto the end of "Bite" NOW FOR KOKOMO Perhaps a QL or LDD from someone from Kokomo, IN? The 1989 songs of course, are covered from Casey's Top 40 and "Red Red Wine" was introduced by Casey in 1984.

Ken, do you determine that by geographical area? I'm in SoCal but not LA. About an hour east. Do I count as LA because of my proximity to it?
