Brett is correct. There are NO Internet-only radio stations outside of iheartradio.com (and the associated app) airing the shows. Therefore, any advertisement of a streamed show on anything other than iHeart or a commercial radio station's site/app is a violation of the rule. Thanks all. This is from Scott from the other thread. He wants people to STOP. And Scott owns this board.

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess: 8/29/81 2nd Guess: 8/24/85
Seems like it almost has to be 1981 next weekend--there's really no other show that fits. Even 8/24/85 is somewhat of a stretch, but probably the only other show that would really be possible unless Premiere does something crazy.

I'm thinking that they're going to hold off on 1985 until mid-September. Can you guess why?

I'm thinking that they're going to hold off on 1985 until mid-September. Can you guess why? Hmmm...30th anniversary of Snuggles? (and the uptempo gd number!) But that would just be with a wink and a nod between those who know. What's Larry Morgan's intro gonna say "this week's show is a special. The notorious 'Dead Dog Dedication' show" And since that's not likely, there's really no context for people who are new to the program to know its significance. The version I listen to has the segment edited in, but I highly doubt an official version like that would happen.

The dead-dog has been aired to death already.

While I do think that moment has been overused to death on this board...I will say that it probably would be the best choice, schedule-wise - and this is why: 1980 - 9/13 aired last year. 1981 - 9/12...aired six months ago. 1982 - 9/11 hosted by Marc Elliott. Crazy choice: 9/18 last aired in 2009. 1983 - 9/10 aired in 2012. Though, I guess that's no longer an automatic disqualifier (though that having been its second airing might be). Crazy choice: 9/17, which last aired in 2008. 1984 - 9/15 hosted by CVD. And 9/8 aired last year. 1985 - 9/14 last aired in 2010. Though it would be a third airing... 1986 - 9/13 last aired in 2011. Seems doubtful though with 9/6 up for considering the week before. Crazy choice: Doing 9/6 on this week, if 9/4/82 turns out to be the Labor Day weekend show. 1987 - 9/12 hosted by CVD.

Meanwhile, here are this week's extras. Most got 2 out of 4, but OldSchoolAT40fan wins this week, for being the only one to get one of two curveballs, and therefore, 3 out of 4 in total. The other, of course, went un-guessed. Extras are: Stevie Wonder - I Just Called to Say I Love You Billy Idol - Flesh For Fantasy Donna Summer - There Goes My Baby Madonna - Lucky Star
