Larry Morgan mentioned that "Burning Up" was heading toward #3 on the Dance chart.
Correction: It was already there. In fact, a glance at Billboard reveals that this wasn't its first week there.

This didn't debut on the Hot 100 until April of 1989 but with the events of the last week would be a great extra for next weeks show U2 with B.B. King "When Loves Comes To Town"

It would have been great to replay 6/6/1987, but oh well, 6/11/1988 is a nice exchange, and is new to Premiere. If memory serves correctly, is there only one more 1988 show remaining after next weekend (4/2/1988)? You are correct! I wonder if they'll run the Easter Weekend, 1988 show next year?

Apparently KCCL has started playing the prior week shows. Two weeks ago they played 1982. Now playing 1980.

Did anyone catch what KOKZ played this morning. Last week they played 1985 instead of the 1980 show

"Every Breath You Take" was an optional extra on this week's show, was a Hot 100 debut in the top 40 the following week, hit #1 five weeks after that, was a LDD about a baby that needed several surgeries on 10/15/83 and on the 5/29/04 AT10, it was a LDD again. The same parents that dedicated it in 1983 did so again in 2004 as the baby born in 1983 survived to be a 21 year old young man in 2004. I have heard updates of dedications as a regular feature in at least the 90s but this is the longest updated dedication I have ever heard on a countdown.

Given that February 1988 is exhausted, and has aired for five straight years now, I think we'll get a 1988 show in January, April, and likely July next year. The April 1988 show could be one previously aired (most likely by 2010), or we may get the April 2, 1988 show.

Thinking of you as I walk the aisles of the grocery store. Your least favorite song, Solid, is on the in-store radio

MAJOR fail at WFGR just now... they jumped right from the break after DeBarge at #35 to the start of hour 2 with INXS at #30. WFGR has in my experience been pretty reliable and usually doesn't mess up like that.
Apologies also if this has already been noted, but it seems WFGR no longer plays the optional extras either, at least for the Sunday evening broadcast.

A terrific bit this week about Vincent Price's guest spot on the song "Thriller" as a lead-in to "Beat It". And as Casey trivia buffs everywhere know, Casey supplied the voice of Peter Cottontail for the 1971 Rankin-Bass Easter TV special "Here Comes Peter Cottontail", where the voice of Peter's nemesis, Irontail, was provided by none other than...Vincent Price. BTW, were there ever any other AT40 shows where back-to-back chart positions -- in this case, #5 and #4 -- were announced by the singers? Rick in Omaha, Nebraska

Thoroughly enjoyed the 1983 show this week! As a side note, I shared this on a different thread but wanted to post here too.. I explored a little on my TuneIn radio app and found a few stations that might be of interest to some of you out there: For 90s try out= B94 Rewind Pittsburgh PA ( they play 1988- around 2002 with no deejays& few commercials ). For 2000s try out= a station called "Retrofitters" ( they play late 1990s-2015 with again no deejays& few commercials ). Just something to perhaps listen to during the week or to fill in "the gaps" between shows on weekends..
