I'm thinking that both KOKZ & Jack-FM will air 3/22/80 next weekend.

A question about this weeks show. In the original airing did the 3rd hour start without the theme music & just the #21 followed by Casey or was it edited? Just the usual 10 + - seconds for the third hour. On the March 24, 1984 show said Diet Pepper is sponsored this hour to that effect after the theme music. That's right that was when they did those this is Difford & Tillbrook, Y&T etc. for Dr. Pepper & Diet Dr. Pepper ads. I remember those from the shows plus from hearing a couple on Ron "Boogiemonster" Gerber's 'Crap From The Past" show.

Looking ahead to the final week of March, is there any chance we hear 3/30/85 or has that show been aired recently?

I'm a little in agreement with this. I would much prefer 1980 to '81 during this part of the year, but it's strange that only one 1981 show has been aired so far in 2015, and that one show was a 'B' show. Guessing the first 1981 'A' show of the year will be 4/25/81...just a hunch. Ahh...no. That aired last year. 4/18 is the one that hasn't yet aired. Right--I get '81 and '87 mixed up because they have the same calendar. 4/18/87 has been aired, but 4/18/81 hasn't. 4/18/81 was the show I meant...

All very good years in music... Well, I wasn't around in 1970 but still...lol Heres hoping 2015 follows the course.. It will if you're Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, Ariana Grande, and Ed Sheeran fans.

Actually I am all about that calendar math. Changed my avatar photo to show you that I have this little cheat sheet for all the years that Casey did countdowns. 1992 is included in the years that match up with Saturdays dates this year after March 1 and that is what this represents...dates after March 1. And if you are wondering why 1970, 71 and 72 are not included, it is because I have already heard all the shows from those years. Yes this is solely done to help me figure out which shows to listen to. Ok, back to the countdown. And back to a more normal avatar photo soon.

I think the song of this year has already been crowned in "Uptown Funk!" As far as Taylor, Maroon & Ariana go I can blow better sounds out my rear.

I honestly feel pop music sounds better than it has in years. Say what you want, but folks like Taylor Swift and Adam Levine of Maroon 5 do have some talent and some good business sense. And Uptown Funk is one of the best pop songs I have heard in some time.
