According to KOLA 99.9 FM's website, next weekend's show is the 1/18/86 show which was last featured in 2011 (link to website: www.kolafm.com/casey-kasem/ ). I am assuming the optional extras are the same as last time: "King For A Day" - Thompson Twins "What You Need" - INXS "This Could Be The Night" - Loverboy "These Dreams" - Heart Cue sheet from the original show: charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/01-18-86.pdf

Why on Earth would WWIS finish 10 minutes earlY? That's not like them! With a forecast high of 8 degrees yesterday for Black River Falls, and an expected low of 11 below, it's got to be the cold!

Might be a 1st for WGHN. They skipped the 1st OE. In the past, they always played it; even if it was at the top of the 2nd hour.

They skipped the first extra a couple months ago (the show with the ABBA medley).

btw, I don't think I listened to the pt 2 of this 1987 show before, but there's definitely some heinous editing they did. also, for the record Casey did actually utter the words "I Want Your Sex" ... twice for George Michael at #24

I'm listening to part two of the Top 100 of 1987 on Star 107.9 and for some reason they skipped over Samantha Fox's "Touch Me" (#44).

That's a nice surprise to hear 87s year end on Star 107.9.. Is it a typical thing for them to play a show that's not the actual 'scheduled' show for the networks carrying AT40? Or was this just a fluke thing?

Or was this just a fluke thing? They usually air the shows that aired exactly one year before, but sometimes they'll play a show that aired a different time (choosing to play part two of the Top 100 of 1987 from early 2013 this weekend instead of the 1/16/1982 show that aired last year at this time); the last time I remember them doing that was back in November when they aired an August 1982 countdown.

It makes sense not to replay a 1988 show until next weekend. If I recall, there is an opportunity for three repeats in January this time around, since there are five Saturdays in this month, so January 23, 1988 may be a go for next weekend. I have a hunch Premiere will offer us January 31, 1987 at the very end of this month.
Also, regarding the 1986 show scheduled for next weekend: Did Premiere air it before 2011?

I agree completely about us hearing 1/31/87. However, I think it's going to be 1/23/82 the week before that. Especially now that 1986 is next week. I just can't see them doing 1986,1988,1987. Would be nice though.

Ironic that after Casey gave his report on the sax in pop music, 'Heart to heart' was played, with a sax solo by David Sanborn.
