It's possible that we could get 11/28/87 next week or 12/12/87 the weekend of December 13. 12/5/87 was guest-hosted, so that's out.

Anyone think that we might get one more 1987 show snuck in before late December? Rick in South Omaha I'm banking on one more '87 show. As seminolefan said, if it's not a repeat it would be either 11/28/87 a week from this weekend or 12/12/87 the second weekend in December. I would be surprised if we don't get one of those. The other possibility is 12/26/87, which has been aired twice--the most recently in 2011. Matt from west Omaha

My first attempt at optional extras. I never knew they did any, as my local station omits them.
Bop Til You Drop - Rick Springfield Missing You - John Waite Cover Me - Bruce Springsteen You're The Inspiration - Chicago

Anyone think that we might get one more 1987 show snuck in before late December? Rick in South Omaha I want a lot of 1987 shows in 2015 because the date of the 1987 show will line up with the date in 2015. Of course, there probably will be a 1987 show in December, meaning that we'll have to wait until possibly April for the first 1987 show of 2015. If I were to pick 1987 shows for 2015, I'd pick Jan. 24, Feb. 21, March 7, April 25, May 16, June 13, Aug. 15, Sept. 26, Oct. 24, Nov. 21, and Dec. 5 because they wwere among my favorite days in 1987. However, some of those shows may have been guest-hosted (can't remember offhand).

Of course, Premiere is unlikely ever to play that many shows from any single year.

Thanks for the heads-up on the guest hosted shows--i was in my mid-20s at the time, so I wasn't tuning in to AT40 as much by then.

I'd like to hear some shows from 1987 to especially from late Jan. to Mar. as I want to hear 'Fight For You Right' by the Beastie Boys on it.

Of course, Premiere is unlikely ever to play that many shows from any single year. Some of the Casey-hosted shows you list have been aired by Premiere in the last few years: 2/21/87 was aired on 2/18/12 8/15/87 was aired on 8/18/12 9/26/87 was aired on 9/24/11 11/21/87 was aired on 11/19/11 They could repeat any of those, but the ones from 2012 aren't as likely to be heard for another year or two. I'd like to get the 1/24/87 and 5/16/87 shows, as well as 2/28/87 and 6/6/87. If you read my earlier post, I am predicting we will get 11/28/87 a week from this weekend...guess we'll find out in a couple days.

As much as I would like for Premiere to play 2/25/1984, I would rather hear 2/28/1987 during the last weekend of February. There were a lot of "underrated" goodies that week, like "Facts of Love" by Jeff Lorber featuring Karyn White, "Talk To Me" by Chico DeBarge, "We Connect" by Stacey Q, and "Don't Need a Gun" by Billy Idol - the latter would likely be the only time we may hear that rare gem since the second and final week that it was on AT40 (3/7/1987) was on a guest-hosted show.
Also, was 1/24/1987 already played by Premiere? I do know that two out of three available shows from January 1987 did air already.
I would also like to hear 6/6/1987 too.
2015 is a year that is exactly parallel to that of 1987.

I have noticed in this weeks show from 1984, they used the jingle ( the one with just beats and no one saying 'American Top 40') several times.. I last heard this jingle in an early 84 show.. Just wondering why they used this so much in this particular show and it's rare to hear in any other show..

Maybe you can find some answers by checking out this page www.jingles.com/jam/social/CaseyKasem.htmlThey were responsible for production of those jingles. BTW welcome to the board.
