Wow, they cut That Girl Could Sing by fading out before the guitar solo, wiling out the last half of the song. Was that done on the original broadcast? It was about 4 minutes long uncut with Casey dialogue on the original broadcast show.

A quick check of some online sources suggests that 1) "That Girl Could Sing" ran 4:34 on the album Hold Out and 2) commercial and promotional copies of the 45 were both the same length as the album. Anything shorter than that presumably didn't come from an official release and is either Watermark's (in 1980) or Premiere's (in 2014) doing.

WQSR suddenly switched to a show from '85, in the 10 PM central hour. Another fail!

Last weeks show. I thought you had found a new station for Sunday nights

Back to 1980. We lost the first segment of Hour 4 to last weeks. The sun will (hopefully) still rise in the morning

Perhaps the 1980 show was just too much for someone to take

I am not aware that Mix107.7 flips to X-mas. I thought there was another station in Dayton that flipped instead. although there is a poll on their website to ask 'when to flip x-mas'. I've listened to them every November and have never heard them flip, so if they do, it should be after turkey day or there abouts. I plan on recording this weeks show FROM Mix1077 as I'll be in Cincy this weekend (although I have an XM copy of the show).

WQSR suddenly switched to a show from '85, in the 10 PM central hour. Another fail! Occasionally, I have experienced this on the Station that I listen to. The most recent example that I can recall happened three months ago. After a Commercial Break during an Episode from 1981, they began to play one from 1986. However, this does not happen very often on the Station that I listen to.

In the 4+ years I have been tuning into the classic shows online, I don't ever recall WMMX switching to Xmas music. Nor has WQSR, and on the 70's list, KODJ has not flipped. A few stations go all Xmas, but still play the AT40 shows -- KLOU typically does that, not sure who else?

Even when Christmas Day was a Sunday they still played AT40 as usual. WODC yesterday played both the regular 1977 and 1971 Christmas shows, despite being all-holiday otherwise. The Casey holiday special was online only; over the air listeners in the Columbus area presumably got a three hour break from the Christmas music while the 1977 AT40 aired.

WSRS here in Worcester goes all Christmas Day after Thanksgiving.
As for show switches this happened a few months ago. Hour 1 was 1981 and hour 2 started in 1984. At the break after #27 they went back to 1981 and began with #27.

Mix 1077 out of Dayton went Christmas last year. They tried to soften the blow by playing Casey's X-mas countdowns on Saturday mornings, wasn't the same. I complained to the program director to no avail. He stated that he tried to get the normal countdown streamed on the website, but was shot down on that attempt.
