KKLI is now with Christmas format. Yes they did--too bad, since they were a good Saturday morning option. Listening to KKLZ now -- they usually do a good job too...

It was a good thing that I didn't attempt to choose any optional extras for this past week. I will try for the chart from 28 years ago today (which won't be aired till next week):
--Land of Confusion-Genesis --Control-Janet Jackson --Someday-Glass Tiger --Coming Around Again-Carly Simon
Tiebreaker (a real shot in the dark):
They Don't Make "Em-Kenny Rogers (one of my favorite AC songs at the time)

Call me crazy, but I don't understand recapping the top 3 songs when he's going to play them again later in the show but that's just me....

So sad, John Lennon never had the opportunity to celebrate his number one hit.

Hungry Heart, what a great song. Shame Springsteen rarely plays it live anymore.

This is a big week when we usually lose many stations to Christmas music. Nervously watching Mix 1077 out of Dayton, Mix 989 out of Youngstown Ohio, and B105.7 out of Indianapolis. Lets hope they dont drop like the stations in Birmingham and Colorado Springs did, but....."tis the season".
Thanks for the heads up on the Las Vega Nevada station KKLZ, added it to my favorites on I Heart for next Saturday!!

No full ending theme this week. It's worth noting that last week's show (without commercials or extras) clocked in at around 3:10:00 and this week's show (also without commercials or extras) clocked in at around 3:05:30.

Surprised you could do that... their owner is Beasley, which I didn't think was involved in IHR (as are IHM and Cumulus). History tells me at least two of the stations you mentioned throw the big switch at some point... dL

Has WGHN dropped the show, outright? It's 5:09 central, and a Gavin DeGraw song was playing.

"Sherry" by The Four Seasons is one of the "Archive" songs on the countdown from 11/8/80-Interestingly enough,Robert John's remake was on the "Billboard Hot 100" that same week at # 70.

Wow, they cut That Girl Could Sing by fading out before the guitar solo, wiling out the last half of the song. Was that done on the original broadcast?

Brian had to like the 11-8-80 show, as it had 4 songs that'd made #1 on the country chart.
