If I could ask a question, when did "You Give Love A Bad Name" debut on the charts? The week ending 9/6/86, at #93. It would enter the 40 two weeks after this week's show, w/e 10/11/86, jumping from #41 to #29.

Casey mentioned Toto's new lead singer in the intro to 'I'll be over you', yet it was Steve Lukather who sang lead on it, since he cowrote it.

Automation strikes again! WGHN ran the same ad twice, in the same break!

Who knew Steve Lukather sang lead, I thought he just played guitar. The things you learn here lol. Apparently he's at George Clooney's wedding this weekend. Who knew those two knew each other?

Wow that's a quick rise to number one. It only eight weeks to get to number one, pretty impressive ...November 29/86. The first of many number ones for Bon Jovi.

I've been reading his bio and he's worked with some of the best, including Michael Jackson on Thriller. He's also worked with Lionel Richie and Olivia Newton John, among others and co wrote The Tubes hit "She's A Beauty". I saw Toto live a few years ago and they are still great. Steve is still a great singer/guitarist.

Negative residual of today's 1986 show is that I now have "Heartbeat" stuck in my head.

Then also, although neither were Top 40 hits, I'd add "Hope of Deliverence" from 1993 and it was Linda McCartney's 1998 death, after Flaming Pie with "The World Tonight" both co-produced by Jeff Lynne in 1997, that effectively ended Paul McCartney's solo career. In late 2001, he charted with "Freedom," shortly after 9/11. I remember hearing it on "American Top 20" (AC) and "Dick Clark's U.S. Music Survey."
