This was like trying to pick your fave Beauty Pageant winners of all time. Anyway, these would be my 5 fave regular shows...
9/22/73......possibly the first show I ever heard 3/18/78......REALLY tough call here but the show with the best collection of songs 4/29/78......the show in which Casey answered my question 4/21/79......the show with most disco songs in it 8/16/86......when Madonna hit #1 on her and my birthday

Mine:
7/4/70: Just because it was the first ever "AT40", which I got to hear in 2010 on the Premiere Radio Networks!
4/1/72: It was the day I was born. It was also aired last year on Premiere!
7/27/74: It was the first time I ever heard a 1970s "AT40" show after hearing so many from the '80s. This happened on August 5, 2007. It was while I was driving in Wisconsin, somewhere south of La Crosse, at 1230 on the AM dial if memory serves.
6/19/76: Three TV theme songs: "Laverne and Shirley", "Happy Days", and "Baretta"
7/10/82: It had some great hits like "Angel" by the J. Geils Band and "Play That Game Tonight" by Kansas.

There were so many of them that were great, that it's really hard for me to pick just a few. I have to say I really enjoyed the first time that Casey played the German/English mix of "99 Luftballons." I'm guessing it was March of 1984. Not only that was that song wonderful, but most of the other songs in the Top 40 that week.

I recall hearing that hybrid version of "99 Luftballoons" at some point in the last year-plus.

You are correct. I remember that too and this is Pete's entry in his book....Casey played a special edit of Nena's "99 Luftballoons" that combined both English and German versions of the record.
