Premiere has been syndicating both "AT40-The 70's" & "AT40-The 80's" since 2007-During that time,we've heard the countdowns that have just been hosted by Casey Kasem-What I wonder is if Premiere would ever consider airing the shows that were hosted by other people such as Robert W.Morgan,Mark Elliott,Gordon Elliott,& Charlie Van Dyke. The reason I bring this up is because eventually Premiere will have gone through every show hosted by Casey-Personally,I'd love to hear the shows that were hosted by those folks whose names I've already mentioned-How do the rest of you feel about that?

IMHO, no, because the shows are called:
Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - The 70's
Casey Kasem's American Top 40 - The 80's
They are not called American Top 40 Flashback, or Retro AT40, or so.

That probably why we get "reruns" now and then. To make sure there's "new" shows for a longer time.
Besides, we're listening to some of these shows again from hearing them in our youths. Its ok to go back through them when they're done.
My only guess is when one of them dies, sspecifically Dick Clark or Wink Martindale, the more well known subs, we'll get to hear their episode again.

I think Dick Clark's is a no-brainer. Possibly Martindale and Eubanks, perhaps even Van Dyke as a tribute to him when that time comes. My question about this though is how far out do they schedule and produce these type shows? Would they have to do a rush produced one if that happens and if so, would they or just wait until the next batch is done running?

I think about a month out, but if they're smart (pause to roll eyes) They'll have some of them ready since all of them are getting up there and Dick Clark especially given his condition. (Which pains me to see on New years Eve, but not as much as Seacrest!)

Since Casey is essentially omnipresent even during guest hosts' shows ("This is so-and-so, in for Casey Kasem this week...") and the basic elements of a regular show are there during a guest-hosted show (previous week recaps, LDDs, etc), I wouldn't think it a stretch to toss in a guest-hosted show once or twice a year.

As I've stated on here before ... they need to open up the rest of the 1980s, just like they have with the four-hour programs from 1978-1978.
Bring on D'Shadoe.
(All that is needed is a disclaimer that the show was hosted by Shadoe Stevens, and it came after Casey left the original AT40.)

That or play CT40 shows from 1989. It's pretty much the SAME exact thing!

He seemed like he was getting a little better for a couple of years and then it felt like he regressed which at his age I understand.

As the 80s get further and further away, 89 music may be played more than some of the earlier years just because it's "newer" than the others if you understand what I'm saying. If you have a show that doesnt even touch that year, stations may be less willing to play it.

Play Casey's Top 40. I like Shadoe, but Casey is second to none. Of course, contractually it might be more feasible for Premiere to play Shadoe, but I doubt they will do that anytime soon. Curious to see if a 90's countdown series ever materializes...

Brian Back when Premiere aired the 7/16/1988 show, they played Guns 'n Roses' "Sweet Child O' Mine" as an optional extra and it was mentioned the song would hit #1 when Shadoe Stevens hosted.

I have enjoyed the random sub shows I have, they are unique and when I listen to them - I picture Casey doing crazy "Shaggy" vacationing stuff back in that week... The Dick Clark is cool, Mark Elliot and CVD were good - Hall and Oates...cool that they did that. Shadoe and others since are all subs.
