I have always wondered if stations airing Premeire shows pay differently by market for the weekly show? There are little stations in Iowa and Wisconsin on AT40 network along with major market stations. I wonder what stations pay for the shows each week? I guess none of my business, but I have been wondering since I started collecting shows.

Affiliates dont pay anything for the shows. The shows are offered through a barter system, where the shows are given to the station at no cost, in exchange for the airing of a certain amount of network commercials both during the show as well as throughout the week. Hope that helps!

Grace Gibson Radio Productions is our distributor here in Australia and for small community radio stations they charge $150 per show.

Stations from International markets can also acquire shows at $200 a show if they approach Premiere directly.

Duh, I should've assumed that it was all about the network commercials. Funny that there are ClearChannel "Jack" stations all over the country, and I believe that WQSR is the only one to play the 80's show. If I was a PD for ANY AC station, I would rather play AT40 shows on the weekend than Train and Counting Crows songs over and over and over....

But as stated they lose some commercial time and revenue during the show and (I think wrongly) lose some during the week having to run others as well.
