Here are some surprising non-jinxes that were in the 9/17/1983 AT40 show:
1) Casey mentioned a list of two word song titles ending with "Girl" to make the top 10, a few weeks later Casey added 3 more, then before 1983 ended another two word ending with girl song title made AT40: Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl"
2) Casey mentioned that Kenny Rogers tied with Marvin Gaye with the most duets with women to make the top 40, a year later Kenny Rogers added a male duet partner: James Ingram singing with Kenny plus Kim Carnes on "What About Me".

I thought A&M records is still around - as a division of EMI/Capitol records. If Wiki is correct, Interscope Geffen revived A&M from 2007 to 2013 merged with its label Octone Records, but it is now defunct. So now what record label does A&M Records founder and trumpet player Herb Alpert work for if he's still active at times in music?

So now what record label does A&M Records founder and trumpet player Herb Alpert work for if he's still active at times in music? From what I found online, currently he has a label called Herb Alpert Presents where he has put out a few new records as well as reissuing his old A&M records.

Debbie Gibson jinxed herself when filling in for Shadoe in 1989. She did a feature on teenage girls with the most top ten hits, stating that she was second to Connie Francis. Debbie had five to Connie's twelve and stated she only needed seven more to catch up. She would never hit the top ten again.

I usually don't care about the charts once the Soundscan era began (1991), but I wonder if Britney Spears managed to wrest this title away from Miss Francis in the early '00s?

Britney only had 5 top 10's in her teens.

9/27/75 Casey said "Tony Orlando and Dawn are really hot" but their record "You're All I Need To Get By" would get no higher than its position that week (#34) and they only had one more top 40 hit.

9/28/85: Casey noted that Wham! hit #1 with their first three hits, and asked "Can their fourth top 40 hit do the same? We're watching". No, and neither did anything else from the duo. Of course, George Michael would later do even better solo.

Charlie would scratch out only a couple more Hot 100 entries.

On AT40: The 80's 10/03/1981: Casey said The Four Tops' "When She Was My Girl" was a comeback hit for the group, but the Four Tops never returned to the top 40 for one more chart hit until 1988 (during the first few months of the Shadoe Stevens AT40 era) with "Indestructible".

In the 10/2/71 show, Casey called Kris Kristofferson's "Loving Her Was Easier (Than Anything I'll Ever Do Again)" the hottest new record of the week, as it made the week's highest debut at #30. But it only got four notches higher, peaking at #26. (Ironically, Kris' highest placement ever on AT40, by far, was in a year end show.)

On this week's 1977 show Casey said Barry White was letting everyone know he was back. After 'Ecstasy he'd have one more top 40 the next year then not again until a final time in the 90s.

On May 9, 1987 Casey said Jody Watley was "looking for her first #1 hit" as "Looking For A New Love" was #2 for the second week. The song would stay #2 for two more frustrating weeks then start moving down.
