Strictly based on the quality of their stream - what AT40 the 70's station(s) have the best stream?
If you don't care about the optional extras, I'd recommend Radio Gold out of Germany. From my experience, it has a superb stereo stream.

Casey noted in the 1976 show this week that there were three foreign language #1's in the rock era: "Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu (Volare)" (in Italian), "Sukiyaki" (Japanese), and "Dominique" (French, though the Singing Nun was actually Belgian). Since then there have been two foreign language AT40 #1's, both in Spanish: "La Bamba" in 1987 and "Despacito" in 2017. And "Despacito" stayed there for five weeks, tying "Volare"'s record.

Wouldn't "Rock Me Amadeus" count, since Falco's vocal was in German?

It looks like WSQL is airing the countdown from 6/12/76 a little early today.

Didn't George (as part of a 'bit') try to claim the $3000 that Lorne Michaels was offering for the Beatles to reunite and appear on the show?

I noticed that too, when they got up to a few of the piano-driven songs (i.e. "Today's The Day", "Trying To Get The Feeling Again"). The funny thing is, the piano sounded warped, but the vocals did not. Noticed it right away when 'Penny's Dad' started singing at #40. And then again on "Today's the Day". It did seem to clear up after that. KLFM sounded the same way Friday night, same songs. Very disappointing. Sedaka sounds off as well.

Is this the LAST peak of the TV theme song with FOUR in the top 40 all at once with the Cyndi Greco debut?

Happy weekend to all.
It was great listening to the 1976 show on WNTY.No 60hz buzz in audio any more. .Probably heard the original broadcast on my transistor radio.WDRC FM Hartford CT was the affiliate then...
Now reruns heard on WNTY 990/96.1 FM at 9am sat and 9pm Sunday. Now 1220 WQUN is gone ..Interesting that WDRC ran the show at 9pm Sunday night back in the 1970's .That sucked because I end up missing the last hour because I had to get to bed for school on Monday. Some of you probably relate to that on a Sunday night run of the show back in that era...
I did noticed alittle wow and flutter/tape stretch in some of the songs.Did not mind it...Its original.......

Is it me or does the sound on White Squirrel sound a bit 'warped" this evening? I noticed that too, when they got up to a few of the piano-driven songs (i.e. "Today's The Day", "Trying To Get The Feeling Again"). The funny thing is, the piano sounded warped, but the vocals did not. Wow. I hadn't listened to this weekends show before it aired, but the wow and flutter on this show is REALLY bad. I've let Shannon and Toby Petty know of the problem.
