^Would that be Mountain Time? Should be 5pm MST. It better be, or I'll be upset I missed the first hour.

WGHN just skipped the segment on the 10-28-78 show, with songs #20-#18.

What is with all this regular programming that WODC is sprinkling in with AT40? At this rate, the show is going to last until at least 10:30!

Mike Eiland does a phenomenal job with AT40. Besides I'd rather hear a couple of extra songs from the station than another truncated IHeart flashback special, or hits in half the time.

Did anyone catch which show gold fm in germany played this weekend. I missed the '72 show and am hoping they play that one on tuesday If Gold FM does not play 1972, the show should be available on Magic 98 (WMGN) at 7AM Eastern time Saturday morning. WRQN re-aired the 4-hr 1978 show at midnight.

Assuming we get the 11/6/76 show, I'll predict these songs for optional extras: * "Hot Line" by The Sylvers * "Livin' Thing" by The Electric Light Orchestra * "Dazz" by Brick Very good picks. I'll go with: "Livin' Thing" "Aint No Sunshine" "Hot Line"

So I take it that 1976 is very definitely this weekend's show.
If so, I'll do this plus the 1971 Christmas AT40 show that's also on tap.
First, November 1976:
* "Hello, Old Friend" - Eric Clapton. * "Livin' Thing" - Electric Light Orchestra.
And a song that was a bigger country hit than pop hit -- such as it was for Australia's import to the pop music world in 1976. Although she had huge success on the adult contemporary chart as well in the mid-1970s, her career path was similar to Taylor Swift was earlier in the 2010s ... crossover success aplenty but still getting a majority of her new songs played at country radio:
* "Every Face Tells a Story" - Olivia Newton-John. Was a No. 21 country hit (and No. 6 adult contemporary hit, in addition to topping the country chart in Canada in January 1977), but stopped at No. 55 on the Hot 100.
For the Christmas 1971 show -- three songs that were brand new in 1970-1971 but not included since they were just new or so recent they hadn't had time to become the iconic songs they'd become:
* "Merry Christmas Darling" - The Carpenters (from 1970). * "Feliz Navidad" - Jose Feliciano (from 1970). * "Happy X-mas (War is Over)" - John Lennon and the Plastic Ono Band (brand new in 1971).
With the songs that were left out because suitable air-quality copies of the songs could not be located in time for production ... being folded into the show, ever so seamlessly with the precision of the likes of Ken Martin.

Additionally, I do predict the weekend of Nov. 14 to bring us a double dose of 1973: the charts from Nov. 10, 1973 (a show never re-aired), and the Christmas 1973 special that was re-distributed in 1976 (and possibly allowed to re-air in the years following).

During the October 7, 1972 program, Casey introduced Jerry Wallace's "If You Leave Me Tonight I'll Cry" by noting the song became popular as a result of its appearance on an episode of Night Gallery. That episode, "Tune In Dan's Cafe", is scheduled to be shown on MeTV, this Thursday night/Friday morning at 2:30am eastern, in case you're interested.

Neat--I wish the time wasn't way past my bedtime, even out here in the west. I didn't even know that MeTV was running "Night Gallery". Seems there's a bit of a revival going on: Last week's "The Middle" episode had "Night Gallery" references in it--Brick was Rod Serling from Night Gallery, NOT Twilight Zone--for Halloween!
