KOKZ has skipped the first optional extra again this week. No more a reliable station for the 70's program.

WWOW is again with the 1974 show, despite they announced a promo of the 1976 show 30 minutes ago. WWOW only took the final 3rd hour from the server, that is why they aired the 1976 promo. They only downloaded third hour of the 1976 show. Automation sometimes ...

Two shows next week. "A" show is from 5/12/1979. The "B" show is from 5/15/1971. That means WEZG will have 4 shows next weekend: 1986-Friday 2pm - 6pm. 1979-Saturday 9am - noon. 1971-Sunday 6pm - 9pm. 1984-Sunday 9pm - 1am.

Wasn't really looking forward to another '76 show but I gotta say: what a great chart, with tons of forgotten 45s. Marvin's "I Want You", Frankie Valli's "Fallen Angel", Al Wilson's "I've Got a Feeling", The Blackbyrds' "Happy Music", Rhythm Heritage's *other* Top 40 hit, KISS, ABBA, ONJ, Brass Construction... wow.

Wow, 5/8/76 is a fascinating Top 40 - the top half is dominated by newbies (5 of the top 6 are by acts with their first Top 40, & 13 of the Top 20 are by acts on their first or second), and the bottom half is dominated by veterans (including Elvis with his 100th).

This will be a quick posting; I anticipate someone else will link the cue sheets... Two shows next week. Your wish is finally granted for 1979; the "A" show is new, and is from 5/12/1979. The "B" show previously aired in 2012, and is from 5/15/1971. You'll be guessing 5 extras here; in addition to the 4 for 1979, the 3rd extra for 1971 has been replaced (think of this as a "bonus" guess, I suppose). 1971's other two remain the same. OK... First, apparently I've given too much credit for willingness to keep up with the cue sheets. 1979: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/05-12-79.pdf1971: www.charismusicgroup.com/Cue%20Sheets/05-15-71.pdfSecond, 1971 was last aired in 2013, not 2012. Oops. Third, forget about guessing the 1971 replacement extra, as it doesn't appear to be pulled from any 1971 show at all. Instead, Premiere's decided to replace the third extra with Ben E. King's "Stand By Me" in his memory due to his recent passing. To recap. The 1971 extras in 2013 were: "Mother In Law" - Ernie K-Doe (original AT40 extra) "I Almost Lost My Mind" - Pat Boone (original AT40 extra) "Take Me Home Country Roads" - John Denver with Fat City John Denver's out, Ben E. King is in. The other two stay as is.

It makes me wonder if Premiere will EVER get around to giving us the 5-26-79 show, with the story of the DJ playin' the LP version of 'Imaginary lover' at 45 rpm, and saying it was the new Fleetwood Mac hit. Casey hosted that show, btw.
