Good biscuits and gravy! When is WSQL going to fix that busted RCA jack causing that awful buzzing? It's hard to listen to AT40 on Thursdays like I like.

I'll go with 4/29/78 over 4/24/71 for next weekend. 4/29/78 show last aired as an A show in 2013. 4/24/71 only airing was in 2016.

Featuring the late Pete Carr doing the distinctive guitar riff. Speaking of LC, Pete was half of LeBlanc & Carr of "Falling" fame.

I can count on one hand the number of 70s shows with 2 songs that I am not familiar with and this show is one of the them. The Stallion and Facts of Life songs are in that category. "Dancin Man" is one of the shortest non-remake disco hits ever at about 2:30. And it is interesting to note that the 3 songs that AT40 made mistakes with in saying they were live when they were not are all hits in April. Last week's 70s show had "Bennie and the Jets", this show has "Got to Give it Up" and next week's 80s show has "The Party's Over", whose chart run on AT40 were the 4 weeks in April 1981.

Not the exact question Casey answered, but this week's #1 song is one of 6 in 1977 by an artist that was close to being a disappearing act. There were 4 artists who hit #1 in 1977 who never hit the top 40 again...David Soul, Bill Conti, Alan O'Day and Debby Boone. Plus 2 more that did not hit the top 30 again...Mary MacGregor and Thelma 'Don't Leave Me This Way' Houston.

Did Casey just say "60's Rock Star" Neil Sedaka? No, he said "a big rock star of the early 60's, Neil Sedaka". It brings to mind a song: I remember when rock was young, me and Susie were having fun, I was a teenage broncin' buck, and Neil Sedaka was breaking up...

Sometimes by Facts Of Life was written by Bill Anderson who teamed up with Mary Lou Turner to hit #1 on the country chart. During an appearance on Match Game Bill talked about the song and had Brett Somers say the word sometimes after he would say the line previous. Millie Jackson produced the Facts Of Life version.

Casey: "So Duke - word on the streets is that there are a few AT40 shows that have songs that you're not familiar with - is that true? Duke: "Sometimes" Casey: "And why do you think that is?" Duke: "Because I'm an old fashioned boy and I believe in love!" Just messin' with you buddy...........

On AT40: The 70's 4/23/1977 for the #36 song "Got To Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye - it's the real Part 1 rather than the Part 2 side the first few weeks that song was on AT40 was played.
