12/8/79 was played over 12/1/79 just two years ago in 2017 because of Tom Petty's death as his debut on that particular countdown was "Don't Do Me Like That" along with The Heartbreakers at #37! Right - other than that, no 1979 shows were ran during the time period in November/December when they offered only one regular show. Who knows - perhaps both shows will remain untouched. Wrong, here's Premiere's pattern of 1979 standalone shows since 2011... 12/24/2011: 12/22/1979 (4-hour show; began at #32) 11/17/2012: 11/17/1979 11/09/2013: 11/10/1979 12/12/2015: 12/15/1979 12/02/2017: 12/08/1979 It would be stupid if they leave those two shows plus 12/22/79 untouched for the aforementioned reasons!

This week's presentations (Weekend of November 2-3, 2019): November 11, 1978 (A) - 4 hours (OPTIONAL ORIGINAL HOUR 1) / October 30, 1971 with mono2stereo conversion by Ken Martin (B). When the 10.30.71 show was presented on 10.25.2014 - did it have the Ken Martin mono2stereo conversion?

Ken hadn't started doing that yet--though it wasn't too long after that. (Ken can correct me if I'm wrong )

You are correct on all of the above. In addition, Premiere has played every 1978 show from 11/18/78 through 12/16/78 during the Xmas programming periods (although only hours 2 through 4 of 11/18/78 and 12/2/78 have been offered to date). It won't surprise me if 11/17/79 were offered the weekend of November 16th, and something like 12/22/79 were aired the weekend of December 21st. Only one 1979 show from July 4th through the end of the year would be odd. Wups - I meant to say that no 1979 shows ran in November/December since 2015 - save for the December 1979 show in 2017 which, as you said, might have been an exception because of Tom Petty's then-recent death, since his song "Don't Do Me Like That" was debuting on that very countdown. I'm just saying they might have decided to not play 1979 shows during the holiday as of 2016. Man I'd be surprised if that were the case. I think it's mostly coincidence that they haven't played much from November or December 1979 lately, kind of like they tend to inadvertently ignore certain months for stretches of time--such as August 1975 (only 8/30/75 was aired until 2014) or July 1987 (neither of the two shows were aired until 2014, but both have been played twice since then) or July 1977 (no shows until 2013, 7/9/77 has now been aired three times as an 'A'). I'm guessing the last two months of '79 are stuck in one of those places at the moment.

KLFM & WJRZ are going with November 11th, 1978. We should also have the 4-hour 1978 TONIGHT on WSQL unless we get thrown a curve? Live from Transylvania county....

WMGN is going with 10/30/71 this weekend. Unless I missed something, this is the only confirmed 1971 so far. Anyone know of any others?
