^Indeed - I sort of alluded to that in my last post.
This also means that all 70s shows from January through March have been exhausted.

Here’s my picks:
* If Loving You Is Wrong I Don’t Want To Be Right” — Barbara Mandrell. * “Love Takes Time” — Orleans. * “Love Is the Answer” — England Dannand John Ford Coley. * “Crazy Love” — Allman Brotthers.
All “love” songs.

Just a heads-up on the upcoming 3/24/1979 show - Casey listed the incorrect chart date of 3/17/1979 in the closing. Ironically, he actually did that in the 3/17 show as well, giving the chart date of 3/10/1979. He'd give the correct chart date again on the 3/31/1979 show.

I'll go with: "Renegade" "Goodnight Tonight" "Frankenstein" "The Logical Song" Curious about "Frankenstein"--why?

What the heck, I'll guess the '79 extras: Goodnight Tonight--Wings (would debut in the Hot 100 at #38 the following week) Blow Away--George Harrison (why not 2 ex-Beatles?) In the Navy--Village People Roxanne-Police Maybe either this or my brackets will be good guesses!

It's been fun listening to all the 1979 shows this year, and following all the songs and their chart runs as well as the fun stories in the show. I just heard the 3/24/1979 show a little over a week ago; up to 4/14 now (also unaired in the Premiere series). This is in my sweet spot musically. ETA: The 3/31 show was interesting in terms of your mentioning the ex-Beatles, with the debuts of both Wings and George Harrison, and the archive song to close out hour 1 was "My Love".

We can add KMXG Clinton/Quad Cities (odd since Clinton isn't one of the Quad Cities) to the list of stations that cut off the show after three hours even if it means not playing the last segment.

I'll go with: "Renegade" "Goodnight Tonight" "Frankenstein" "The Logical Song" Curious about "Frankenstein"--why? I'd venture to guess that it was an AT40 Archives song relegated to "optional extra" status.

I'll go with Supertramp-"The Logical Song" Randy Vanwarmer-"Just When I Needed You Most" April Wine-"Roller" (My second favorite April Wine song next to their cover of King Crimson's "21st Century Schizoid Man" CURVEBALL PICK The Cars-"Let The Good Times Roll" (a song that still gets recurrent airplay, but would fall short of the Top 40 by peaking at #41)

Aren't we going to lose WSQL as a 4-hour 1979 option (at least for Thursday) due to the NCAA tourney?

Aren't we going to lose WSQL as a 4-hour 1979 option (at least for Thursday) due to the NCAA tourney? NCAA activity shouldn't affect WSQL because the NCAA has a contract to broadcast exclusively. It is high school activity that sometimes interferes with WSQL, not college. WSQL can't stream any college stuff nationwide.

More than likely an editing error on the part of the AT40 staff, and not Casey's fault...at least that would be my guess.

^Indeed - I sort of alluded to that in my last post. This also means that all 70s shows from January through March have been exhausted. Well, kind of. Premiere still has yet to air the 1st hours of the 1/27/79 and 2/10/79 shows. 2/10/79 was the last show aired (on the weekend of February 11, 2012) in which the first hour wasn't offered in the USA (it was offered for international subscribers, presumably as a "pilot" edition). Hoping they replay both of those in the next year or two.

I thought I'd call attention to it, remembering the 10/1/1977 show aired a while back (2016, I think) where Casey mentioned the previous week's chart date of 9/24, and IIRC a few thought it was the 9/24 show. In two consecutive shows dated January 1982, Casey listed the correct calendar date but was still stuck in 1981.
