Nice Tribute to Matt wilson at the end of the show The same tribute was at the end of the 1981 show as well. It's in the 1975 show too (I assume darnall42 was referring to the 1972 episode).

WPAC playing 1975 - on-demand stream should be available (probably cutting before or during the #1 song). Good; I think I'll probably listen to that one, since I can catch it any old time this week (besides, WMGN is running regular programming).

I usually find the audio from their stream good enough, although I remember there was one recent episode where there was a static/digital noise issue during various songs. I don't know if that happened again this weekend.

I am grateful, but at the same disappointed with PAC's on demand uploads of 70's B-shows especially since it is often the only source on some weekends. It always cuts off before the end of the show due to the fact it is posted as a 3 hour file but they start the recording from four minutes BEFORE the show starts. I have also heard times when there was static or the sound of another show in the background. Given who works at that station (and probably is responsible for recording and uploading it), I'm surprised at the low quality. But, I am grateful that it exists. I just wish it was better. For those who don't know, you can open it at this URL starting on Saturdays after it airs live: ice7.securenetsystems.net/media/WPAC/ondemand/Casey-Kasem.m4a

I appreciate the fact that WPAC gives folks the opportunity to hear "AT40" on demand-However,they shouldn't include the song that plays before the program actually starts-That's my only gripe.

The recorded portion always starts at the top of the hour, regardless of whether 'AT40' starts exactly on time or not. (edit) This week the 3-hours ended right at the 'acapella' part near the end of 'Black Water' at #1.

I was hoping WPAC on demand would play the "B" show from 1972 this weekend, but they captured the 1979 "A" show and are starting with song #30 in hour 2. That's unusual. They started an hour early and aired all 4 hours of the 79 show. Usually when they do that, the on demand show has all 4 hours. The on demand show that runs for a week is 3 hours. I think the 4-hour podcast (6-10 am) rolls over daily.

Wow! That was kind of unexpected! Since we had a 1979 show just a month back, I certainly didn't expect another one so soon; I felt sure that they'd wait until mid-APril for the next 1979 show. This gives me reason to think that they might be keeping the weekend of April 13-14 open so they can play the last remaining 1977 show (4/16/1977) then. I just hope that they're going to be playing the 6/23/1979 show. They'd have to wait for three months, but they've had gaps like that between shows from that year - it seems even more reasonable due to the narrow gap between 1979 shows this time around.

I believe this week’s ‘79 show is new to premiere.
