"Affable-looking Fred Knoblock"--had to laugh at that one! I've seen an "America's Top 10" from early 1981 (shouldn't this be in the 80s thread?) with Casey playing a bit of the "Killin' Time" video. Knoblock may well look "affable" (polite, pleasant, approachable), but Susan Anton looked considerably better than that! Whoops, just realized I posted in the wrong decade!

"Let's Live Together" by Road Apples is terrible!!! I wouldn't go that far--kind of an 'OK, not great' song for me. The thrill was hearing a tune I have not heard for 43 years.

For 1/16/71 optional extras, I'll go with:
"To Each His Own" "There Goes My Everything" "Tennessee Waltz"

I'm assuming that 1/16/71 is a new offering from Premiere Networks.

1/19/74 is on the 24-hour "AT40" channel from I-Heart Radio. Yes. I heard parts of it there multiple times (back when they were alternating 70's and 80's shows, rather than the current schedule where they play one 70's show and three 80's shows).

"If You Could Read My Mind" "One Bad Apple" "Theme From Love Story" (Henry Mancini) I like your first two--will be very surprised if they're not extras--but for the third one I'll guess "Sweet Mary" by Wadsworth Mansion, a favorite 'one-hit wonder'. On an unrelated note, while perusing this chart on the UMD site, I noticed the song debuting at #87: "Mixed Up Guy" by Joey 'Greatest American Hero' Scarbury, ten years before his only hit! Which I just heard earlier today on the H&I TV network, which runs the series.

I'm assuming that 1/16/71 is a new offering from Premiere Networks. The master list shows it was presented in 2008 - but to me with the mono to stereo conversion - it's a new show. Plus - I didn't start listening until 2011.

01.16.71 extras - could very well be the 3 Specials.
To Each His Own - Platters Hurt So Bad - Letterman The Tennessee Waltz - Patti Page
Hurt So Bad was a fairly recent song from 1969 - so it might stay in the show. The other two are probably locks being from 1960 and 1950. But just for consistency - I'll go with all 3 specials as the extras.

"To Each His Own" is an old Ink Spots tune.
